Ypsilanti Mi-1977- a snowstorm meant there were only about 50 people in the audience- Jan Hammer Group played this and other songs- extended versions and jams- despite the small audience they palyed their asses off - unforgettable concert

@paulmayerpiano5 жыл бұрын
@@homosapien435 Tough to say. I've been listening to (and playing) a lot more jazz these days, so I've been more into discovering weird/chords rather than ear candy type stuff like this. Lately I stumbled on this little gem, if you're into the modular synth type thing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIbdaHhvi9uEh7c The explanation is interesting, especially considering that none of these things were intended to be musical instruments, but the "cool sounds" start at 13:13
@paulmayerpiano5 жыл бұрын
As far as cool-sounding "songs" go, it'd have to be either "Hyperlife" or "Stratosphere" off Beck's new album, Hyperspace. Neither one bumps this tune out of the top spot, but they're both on my radar.

My friends & I were fortunate enough to see the Jan Hammer Group in the late seventies at the Glass Onion nightclub in Rochester, N.Y. one lovely evening. I'll never forget that fabulous evening thanks to Jan Hammer; they blew us all away with their incredible indivisual and collective talents!!!
