This and Evan are the best tracks on Miami Vice soundtrack in my opinion. What great about the episode version of Marina is the unspecialized "intensity" of the track. Conveys a lot of emotion - but I have no idea what it is - could be anything you want it to be. For some reason I also like the little "scratch" at the very beginning of this recording. Could be an error but actually adds to the effect.

Definitely the best version of this I've seen on KZbin...I get chills at the start of this track every time...no other Marina version starts out as good as this one!

This is the best version - the synth melody over the two chord progression forms a phrase that makes the song, and unfortunately, the official recording only gives us a few measures before it fades in the mix. You did an outstanding job of isolating it from the (outstanding) scene.

Yes, by all means, rewatch! I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched all 5 seasons on Peacock. I love the part in The Great McCarthy where Crockett tells McCarthy he can have his Ferrari if he loses the game of pool, then proceeds to wipe the floor with him

I just recently downloaded the entire Miami Vice soundtrack from Apple Music. I always liked this track and the Great McCarthy was one of my favorite episodes. I didn’t realize it would be part of the Miami Vice soundtrack but I was a little disappointed that it is slightly different than the version you have here (the main synthesizer sounds are much more faint). I wish this version would’ve been included in the album. Thank you for posting this!
