I think being an Aries has something to do with how i handel confrontation. I'm very open and honest (sometimes too honest) about how im feeling. And there are times when i choke it down and it just goes away and i realize how stupid it was to have those thoughts...if that makes sense. But my past with guys and Ex-Friends have a lot to do with how i handle conflict....

I can honestly say after almost 20 years together we disagree once in awhile but it lasts few minutes and were over it. In the beginning we fought some maybe the first year we getting to know each other we are different in some ways but balance each out perfectly. We were best friends for a year started dating after a year moved in together right away have been together 18 years and married 14. I will never ever understand how people say marriage is tough or it’s a lot of work. Never once past 18 years have I felt that way. Don’t get me wrong no couple is perfect but it really has never felt tough or like hard work. How we handle confrontation since we don’t have much confrontation at all anymore but when we did we are 2 very stubborn people but one of us usually gives in n says sorry I love you or let’s start this over. I don’t know we both love each other so much that I cannot stand being mad at my husband and he said the same we can take it for maybe 5 minutes and then we think how dumb it is n in the scheme of things that whatever were disagreeing about doesn’t matter at the end of the day. There’s so much love there we want to be together every second we can no time to be mad and not talk

We are having a hard time recently especially with two small kiddos in the mix. Most of the time it just feels like we are just trying to survive. I’ve learned to let the little things go. But for handling confrontation for me (wife) I have to make sure to bring things up in a way to not make my husband feel like he is being “attacked”. And then we seem to be able to communicate better. I can’t speak for him of course but if I’m not able to communicate with him then I just go into my little bubble (which I know isn’t good) but like I said-- trying to survive! Marriage is hard for sure.

This interview is so sad knowing all they went through and where it ended up. But it's good to talk about these things even though it didn't end up well. Jana seems like such a fighter, loyal person, loving with a full heart, and trusting. I have followed her with her music. She's been through a lot. I know nothing about her ex so I'm not going to judge or make a comment about him. Clearly she loved him and gave it her all. I wish her the best.

Faithfulness is a necessity for me. My husband and I deal with conflict by trying not to go to sleep angry. Our faith in God is what has kept us together. Our guide is the Bible. We have only been with one another. In Malachi it says "God hates divorce." Working on our marriage is important to us. No marriage is easy but you can stand on truths and be loyal always to one another.

One of my absolute favorite podcasts of yours. Truth. We’ve been married 33 years , I was 17 when we got married and we have had huge ups, downs and hurdles. However to this day we can say (and have as we are dealing with cancer ) that we would choose each other and the journey again knowing all the bad and good.

You know I think every relationship is different. I know for me and my husband we met and he was engaged to somebody else and I had just gotten out of a divorce. So to say that I was ready for a relationship, I was not. But after talking to him for 2 1/2 months and then his engagement broke up because they were wrong for each other from the get-go and didn’t connect spiritually. She was pagan and he was Christian and he was trying to convert her so to speak and do a missionary work to get her saved and obviously she wasn’t having it. But he and I started “courting” after he had asked my dad permission to court me. I think he told me he loved me two weeks after we met and I told him I was not ready to say that and it took me about 2 1/2 months after we met for me to say I love you. Fast forward seven months into our relationship and we got engaged a week and a half later we got married in two weeks after that I found out I was pregnant with our first child. It still amazes me to this day that I was with my ex-husband for 2 1/2 years and we never had kids. But seven months into my relationship with my current husband I got pregnant. I truly believe everything happens for a reason.

So they’ve broken up now, at the time of this comment and I mean Jana and her husband. Now that I know more of the story from the beginning it seems like he wasn’t ready to settle down. I’m not excusing what he did but I see this all too often. A girl is at a different place in her life and pressuring the wrong guy to commit when he’s just not there. It’s so so hard because as women we put time and effort on a guy hoping for that “fairytale” but men take so much longer to mature they often aren’t in that place at the same time.
