does the star drag system have a clicking feature when adjusted? I noticed in the video that you did not adjust the drag. also would this reel be suitable for San Diego yellowtail? in the 20-30 lb class?

HI, do you guys carry the Maxel transformer reel? all the maxel you have now are not very good for jigging, the gear ratio is a bit low and the left side plate is not narrower than right, the Maxel transformer is a true jigging reel, retrieves ~100cm per crank, comfort to palm, large and long handle. Plz sell them!

All of the Maxel reels we carry are made for Jigging. The Transformer is not available in the American market so we don't sell it.

It's the wrong reel. Go with an Avet MXL G2 or an Accurate Boss Valiant 400.

Okay so my Daiwa lexa HD 300 I just got last month. I've used it 2 times tog fishing and when I drop my bait it doesn't make a sound. I started using it after tog fishing I started casting a spoon. Everytime I would cast it made this really loud high pitch like grinding sound and I don't know why. When I turn the spool really fast with my thumb it doesn't do it either. Is it normal ?
