Jandy iAquaLink TCXP - What's in the Box

I purchased this system from an on-line retailer. Hooked most of it up but had some questions on my Hayward VSP pump. Sent 3 e-mails to tech support, then finally called with a 150 min estimated wait time, but scheduled a call-back. When they finally called back I was told that they are not allowed to answer any homeowner questions. So this "simple to install" system that seems to me to be marketed to homeowners, is great unless you need assistance. I now have a $1000 heater controller. Also it is not the same iAqualink system as the other products. There is no Siri Shortcut support, you cannot access via web app, and it can not be integrated into Homebridge or Home Assistant like the others. This seems to me to be a product that was released before it should of been, and marketed much differently.

Hello, unfortunately, Jandy won't answer any homeowner questions in regards to their "Trade Series" products as they only want them installed by professionals and do not sell their products online, would have to be bought at a local retail store to qualify for the warranty. The other problem is that the Hayward VSP will not communicate with iAqualink system regardless of what you do or when it was purchased. Pentair and Jandy Pumps will but Haywards will not. Wish we had better news for you. We hope this helps.

If you bought a Jandy product online and not from a verified retailer, then you bought it 3rd party which is not supported by Jandy. They only support equipment installed by pool professionals. Sorry man, there's no way you would've known prior unless someone warned you

What relays do you use for the variable speed pump control (non-Jandy Pentair)? In response to the Hayward heater, download the Hayward manual from the internet for the model you have. Mine had 2 orange wires located by where the main power goes into heater that were used to run to the TCX, then there is a setting you need to do on the heater display manual to allow control from the TCX (all outlined in the Hayward manual). My Hayward heater works perfect with this.

Hello, you can read the levels the salt cell is at but you cannot control it through the iAquaLink. Also it does not monitor the chemistry. Hope this helps!

For installing this system to control a Hayward H-series pool heater, do you connect the comm(white) and pool(orange) remote wires from the heater to the LVH(terminal 1 in) and (terminal 2 out)?

In case anyone else was wondering, I confirmed with the manufacturer that the above connections would work. The connections are not polarity specific, so as long as you connect terminal 1/2 on the low voltage block to the fireman switch on your heater it will function correctly.

Can this control a Pentair Intellichlor? At the very least, can it turn the intellichlor on when the pump is on (either by schedule or by manual) and turn it off when the pump is off?

If the cell runs off a separate power supply, how does the iAquaLink control it? My understanding was that the iAquaLink would provide the 110v power for the cell through the included 110v relay, while providing low volt connection to the heat pump for thermostatic control and low volt control for the VS pump, replacing the pump control module in place.

@@CJ23 iAqualink will control Jandy-created salt systems via the red 4-pin connector. there is a low voltage cable that runs back and forth from both for the 2 way communication. You are able to use the relay control to power the cell's powerpack on/off through the filter pump relay, you are correct. Manufacturers recommend using the same relay for the main filtration pump for the salt system.
