She was hot in “The Masque of the Red Death with Vincent Price. I wonder what she was promoting? She was in Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” with Laurence Harvey, but the first US screening was in July. But, that explain the guy in costume, on the tarmac.

Paul should have kept that one. None of his others matched her

It was Jane who caught Paul in their bed with another girl. She was upper middle class and refined to where Paul would be considered from the wrong side of the tracks. However, she loved him and he loved her. Paul had too much time on his hands and too much fame. It's a bad combination. However, Jane should not have left for five months either. That's a bit too long to be away while in a relationship. They are both to blame, I suppose.

@@lisas3545 She was a beautiful, classy girl from a completely different background to McCartney. Her father was an eminent physician in London and was the man who first identified and named the condition Munchausen Syndrome. McCartney was from a working class background and I could imagine his views on conducting a relationship were somewhat different to hers. She wanted a career and not be "just a wife" at a time when most women married and ran a home. The problem was, he wanted her to give up her career to become exactly that, and they had a few tiffs about it during their relationship. He was both intelligent and creative and that probably attracted her, as well as the strong physical attraction between them. It was a high profile relationship with the media in the mid 60's and they were certainly a glamorous couple. McCartney found someone who gave him what he wanted in Linda and their relationship lasted the course until her death. Jane was an important part of his life, in spite of his philandering, until she ditched him in 1968, and when he wrote "And I Love Her" about her in 1964 the twenty one year old Paul McCartney was, I think, pretty seriously in love with her. The thing is, did he really ever get over it?

@@abberationify Funny you should mention that. No, I do not think Paul ever got over her. Read his lyrics from 1972 to 2018. Even 68 to 71. I am in private discussion about this because his diehard fans have a meltdown. Even after multiple sources flatout state Paul and Linda's marriage was not the best. Also, Linda was still negative about Jane, who she never and slept with her fiance, at least until the late 80s. I am sure she died insecure and jealous. Then, Heather made a bold response not to many caught.

Paul had to leave Jane. A man can't have a woman who has a bigger schnoz than his. It was decent of Paul to allow Jane to think she was the one making the decision to leave him.
