Why, she did a social experiment that forced a fake racism on people for the sake of proving a point out of context. Racism and Tribalaiam are two different things. Racism is the hatred of other races, tribalism is the preference of self like races. All people are guilty of both.

She's great, but it would be pretty egregious to give her that kind of accolade simply for echoing what black people have been saying this whole time. Instead of putting her on a pedestal like that, the best way to honour her would be if we all learned the lessons she is trying to teach.

None of her points make sense, she just hates white men and Christianity and got off on abusing white people, she’s a kunt and should have never been allowed around children, if the only reason blacks are unsuccessful is because of white oppression then how do you explain all of Africa? How do you explain every single black neighborhood in the world? How do you explain that they never invented anything ever even long before colonialism, it’s because they are biologically dumber and more prone to violence and lack self control, it’s so freaking obvious you can see it everyday with your own eyes

The Irish slave trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies. By the mid 1600s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves

Whenever I hear Jane mention the story of where she was, during the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., it makes me feel as if I was there with her, when it had just happened. It's very interesting and moving, that she remembers the whole tragedy, as if it happened just 10min. ago. Even when I learned about MLK Jr. and his family, as well as the tragedy, for the first time in Grade School, it made me sad that this society would ever take away such a powerful hero, who was dreaming of the world joining hands together, no matter what the color of anyone's skin is. Jane shall forever be remembered, as the teacher who taught her third grade class the importance of how to treat others fairly and what discrimination can feel like, over the course of a few hours, or even a few days. Jane Elliot, without you, certain people wouldn't be who they are, if it hadn't been for your blue/brown eyed exercise.
@markaja2 Жыл бұрын
She illustrated a problem with the way people think that connects with people on a logical and emotional level. She was angry at the weakness of people to fall victim to prejudice. This is how she made her niche and spoke the truth. Her anger at injustice overwhelmed any fear of retribution from revealing the truth. So many people today say that considering the truth doesn't matter because because we experience truth differently. This kind of thinking is not good for individuals, societies, or international relations. "Let's ignore whether Schroedinger's cat is alive or dead and make up our own story." Schroedinger's cat analogy was made up to show how ridiculous a new idea in physics was. That new idea was found to be true in quantum mechanics. The truth in the eyes of quantum mechanics is what is mostly likely to be true, not that the truth can't be known. I think finding solutions should look for win-win situations and be willing to have some things to compromise, and other things to not compromise.

Today, what she thinks she is helping to educate to identify and/or expose she is actually empowering excuses. People don't think they the way she she presents, everything is an action/reaction. A person fights the police the police take action. People act quiet and respectful they get it reciprocated. The skin color thing isn't what it used to be and the like of her isn't helping anything, all she is doing is making excuses and staging.

Kudos to her for showing a class of all white kids exactly what discrimination feels like. However my elementary school decided to run the same experiment when I was in 2nd grade, in California. That class was pretty diverse. Black, white, Asian, Hispanic, Filipino , Samoan, etc. We didn’t need to learn about diversity. We were already inclusive. So all it taught brown-eyed kids was how to feel superior, and the blue-eyed kids learned what it was like to be ridiculed by their “friends”. When the “best” eye color switched to blue, there was a massive meltdown from the brown-eyed kids (tears and wailing) and the experiment was halted. While the blue-eyed kids learned a valuable lesson, there were only about 4 of us, the brown-eyed kids (from what I see of them on social media) never lost their desire to feel superior to others.
