At 76 years of age, I wish I could be sure that Jane (and Donald Sutherland, at the time) appreciated my putting my military career on the line ..when she and Sutherland visited Okinawa to present a concert promoting the anti-Vietnam war movement. ....The time frame was late 60's and Jane wanted me to supply a sound system (along with my drummer, Smiley D.) for their show on Okinawa.....Smiley and I met with Donald and Jane at an Okinawan hotel where they were staying....and she was both beautiful and quite persuading... At that time I was in charge of an entertainment troupe and had been given an executive order by Nixon to fly out to remote islands off 'Nam, with my band, and give them entertainment that (because of their remoteness) never, ever received from the USO or the military.... ..Smiley and I had access to a great and very large PA system....and so, in secrecy ...we borrowed it and set it up for Jane & Donald ...and even opened the show with our band... Unbeknowing to me, there was a videographer filming the whole thing....and Smiley and I almost fainted when we watched the news broadcast on Armed Forces TV....why? Because on the film, the camera panned to the speakers used, and very plainly one could see...."Property of the U.S. Army Special Services, Ryuku Islands, Okinawa..." ...Smiley and I were sure that the military police ...at any moment ..were gonna knock on the door and take us to prison because of our insane, loyal efforts to Jane and Donald.... To this day, I still can feel the fear I felt for helping them out .....but, as it turned out, I received the Air Force Commendation Medal for my musical direction for a show that gave 101 performances in 99 days in the Vietnam theater.....travelling over 28,000 miles by land and air.... ......Both Jane and Donald were wonderful people and gratious with their requests.... Haven't seen either of them since...but, I have never forgotten either of them....At 76, memory is the second thing to go....except for Donald and Jane..

I've never liked Jane Fonda based on the way she comes across in interviews and when I've seen her in public. In 1988, she came in to the movie theatre I was managing in Toronto to see 'Gorillas in the Mist'. I was standing in the box office with my cashier. As the cashier was accepting payment in a timely manner, Fonda rushed her to get the tickets. it got a bit heated when the cashier politely said "I'm getting to you." Plenty of time before the movie. And when the film was over, I watched Fonda rush out and speed past people to get out of there. She had on the biggest dark glasses you ever saw, carried a giant handbag over her shoulder and had on a green polo shirt and jeans. She just seemed like somebody who didn't want to be recognized and I have a problem with celebrities like that. If it looks like you're deliberately trying to avoid the public, the same public who made you what you are, you shouldn't be so quick to avoid them. People might think you're a snob and too good for them. Stay home and associate with your Hollywood peeps if you're like that.

TFG wants to overturn the IRA which has lots of rebates and tax credits for low and middle income. HVAC Heatpumps $4-8k $850ish for electric stove, $1600 insulation. EV car rebates &tax credits.
