Funny little backstory on the venue here. Enumclaw is a little town 40 miles SE of Seattle. There was a woman on the town counsel who thought we needed big name acts to bolster the town's economy and put Enumclaw on the map. This lady sold the idea to the town and booked the Lollapalooza tour to the behest of many residence here. When the concert came, it was a sold out crowd and thousands came and many more who had no tickets crashed the fairgrounds. There were so many people that traffic was jammed and people were abandoning their cars right where they were stopped. The local Safeway was flooded with shoplifters, people having sex inside the store etc. It was the last time any good and big act played at the Enumclaw (King County) Fairground. After the show, that lady had to leave town for several weeks because there was a line up of citizens waiting to chew her ass afterwards. She eventually resigned her post because she couldn't go anywhere in town without people giving her shit about it.

OMG...I was at Lollapalooza that same year at the one in Mountain View, CA. I was only 15 and it was amazing!

This stuff is so good it's painful to watch. It just doesn't happen like that anymore - it was Led Zep before Jane's, and no one else has come along to fill their shoes (their modern incarnation didn't really even come close). Bittersweet to go back...

"Men never can be, not like a girl. Such a classic girl." Great song from one of the greatest lyricists, ever.

I was at the '91 Lollapalooza show in Toronto! That Jane's show is still one of the best I've seen in my concert-going-career.

These guys or Perry are the originators of Lollapalooza. Hope we have more classic concerts that you would remember forever.

Say hello to the best voice on the scene ever. and say hello to the best "live" band of all times. Every time I hear this song, somehow perry gives me strength enough to keep on the road..

Jane's was awesome live. I saw them once in 1989 and then in 1991 on Lollapalooza and they are awesome live. I saw Porno for Pyros and it was cool. Then I saw them on the reunion tour and it just wasn't the same.

Good point. I thought it was the cheese cake factory and Apple Bees in every mall in America. But now I see it's actually Jane's Addiction. Bastards.

MrPooponit- Try looking up some Jane's Addictions "Live in Milan!" That says they were pretty damn good live. Not so sure where you came up with the idea they "suck" live........actually the contrary!!

One of the coolest guys in history but the buzzcut didn't work for PF

The term 'musical orgasm' seems overused these days. It belongs to JA.
buzzcut, dreads, pants, dresses, no clothes, snaggle tooth,... Perry can pull it off.

Ritual is a crowning accomplishment, no doubt, but it's premature to say that it will stand the test of time. i luv side 2 but there are some dated production flourishes here and there- that is also one of eric avery's criticisms about the album

You’re wrong Perry, a man can accomplish things even without a woman. Are you saying I should kill myself now that the former love of my life has divorced me ?

Cultural bankruptcy has never had finer representatives than these clowns...

Alejandro Sosa I realize this is a bit imperceptive, (since this is all I know of you) but tbh so was your comment (in my opinion), and this is the forum we have tonight; so I just want to take a very brief moment to share my musings at your statement here... And it boils down to this: your opinion is utter shit, and these "so called" clowns have more talent, artistic legacy, influence, style and human magic than I'm sure your entire past, present and future gene pool can ever hope for. Now take all that bullshit and go spread it amongst your troll brethren. ..
