I dont think a lot of people understand how much influence JA and "Nothings Shocking" has had on the world of music. I feel like they dont get enough appreciation nowadays.

I hope they get inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I have this one on vinyl. This band to me was ahead of its time.

They were WAY ahead of the times... I've always said this. Jane's addiction and the Pixies were the forerunners of what music would become over the next decade. Truly amazing bands! Also, "I Would for You- Live" is my fave version of the song as well🙌

NS is one of my all time favorites so I absolutely loved this episode! One thing I would like to point out though is that it’s actually a common misconception that Perry created the albums artwork solo. In fact, Casey Niccoli herself made the sculptures while the band was on tour (as well as the paper mache sculptures for Ritual de Lo Habitual a couple years later). She was a huge component in the creative force that is Jane’s Addiction and does not get the credit she deserves so I wanted to give it

I got into JA when nothing shocking came out. then I went and got the live album. Between 1988-1991 they really were my favorite besides Soundgardens Louder than Love album.. was a mainstay in my car.

I saw JA tour this album and their next- Ritual… two bands that I loved in the 1980’s that get NO love - “Lime Spiders” from Australia and “Mary My Hope” which only made one album called “Museum”. I believe the bass player and drummer went on to the original line up of the Black Crows.
