By causual fans, definitely underappreciated. I'm more impressed that the camera showed us how Dave's right hand picked the overtones between verses, and how long he used the tremelo bar for. Much easier to get an idea on how to play it right.

Yeap...Perkins is another superb soloist supported by Avery...that's why JA was so good...a bassline so powerful it enabled the remaining 3 remembers to dance between ryhtmic and solo work...AWESOME...one of my favorite 5 bands of all time until today.

You're absolutely right- it's the baseline that set the tone for, and carried, the early JA sound... And that's EXACTLY what's missing here. Although I've never thought of it as a gypsy sound. For me it was always a kind of modern-primitive sound... esp with Perkin's jungle sounding drum-work.

Man, I know that feeling in a way, but there are certain things I know I don't want to go back to in the future. Even if people anger you, you have to keep some love for them. It's partially because of this that I feel the love. That's a relationship that develops over time. Someone asked once how God revealed himself to me in three words. I replied, "Over time."
