The reason they could touch was because of the leidenfrost effect. Basically if a surface is hot enough, and water touches it, the water molecules on the surface will flash-boil and create a constant protective layer of steam between the water and hot surface. You can recreate this by dripping water into a hot skillet, and watch the water slide around on the surface harmlessly.

My daughter’s name is Ember… she absolutely loves this movie and ironically, her and the main character act very similar so she sees herself in this movie. I pray she finds a Wade….

The reason Ember's 20 minutes in the bubble got over early is because the top of Ember's head accidentally touched the top of the bubble because of which the air started running out quicker. That's the entire reason Wade wanted Ember to wear boots.

Before watching it, I didn’t think it was gonna be good, but I wanted to watch something. I’m glad I did. This was soo good. It’s rom com with an immigrant story. Cried and laugh. Underrated.

This was one of my favorite movies of last year and definitely one of my favorite romcoms EVER! It almost went under the radar, because the marketing didn’t give enough attention to the immigrant story. I was telling everyone to see it. Leah Lewis and Mamoudo Athie did a wonderful job as Ember and Wade. Leah Lewis is also in a great Netflix movie called The Half of It which is based on Cyrano de Bergerac. I highly recommend it.

I just realized the currency the coins they showed were ancient Chinese coin currency at least it looks very similar to it. Also I'm guessing the cloud people may be black people if fire is Asian people & water and/or tree people are probably stereotypical white people because the pink cloud person (don't remember her name) she got angry & offended when Ember called her a cloud puff but later called herself a cloud puff so you can guess what comparison that's similar to. I could be completely wrong in my understanding here though. Also gotta mention I am so glad they had a Nonbinary water person (the character who had the girlfriend in the family, I don't remember either of the characters names)
