My favorite part of this movie is when Nick reveals that he noticed Judy's Fox Repellant the first time they met. It really recontextualizes all their previous interactions when you know that. Also the fact that if you look back to the first time Judy saw Nick, Doug was there 10:45. He almost hit Nick with a car and then made a racist comment towards him. If Judy hadn't fixated on Nick for being a fox then she would've been more focused on Doug in that scene and maybe found some clue about what was happening.

This movie touches on some dark and realistic themes about humanity. It's pretty deep and well-written for a kids movie lol. Always loved Zootopia. It's one for the ages.

With all the unwarranted/ unwanted Disney sequels coming out, Zootopia is the one “new Disney” movie that deserves a sequel. Like they could just make it another detective story with Nick and Judy and I would watch that!

So, remember this speech of Nick's? "Okay. Tell me if this story sounds familiar. Naive little hick with good grades and big ideas decides, 'Hey, look at me, I’m gonna move to Zootopia, where predators and prey live in harmony and sing Kumbaya'! Only to find - whoopsie - we don’t all get along. And that dream of becoming a big-city cop? Double whoopsie! She’s a meter maid. And whoopsie number three-sie, no one cares about her or her dreams And soon enough those dreams die,and our bunny sinks into emotional and literal squalor, living in a box under a bridge." And when Judy tracks him down at the end, he was living under a bridge. He wasn't really talking about her. He was talking about his experience. When he thought that he could get along with others, but they only saw him as an untrustworthy fox.

it's not inadmissable in some places. Some places you only need one party's consent to record.

Almost everywhere in this case. As Nick was in public, he couldn't expect a reasonable level of privacy. The states have the several two-party areas. Most have an exception for preventing or detecting a crime. Unsurprisingly Washington does not have this exception.

@@BlackDereki live in a state with 1 party recording laws. it helped immensely when one of my moms doctors did the wrong procedure on her because he read the wrong patient chart, and she took her phone in there to record the nurse talking to her about it. no way is any doctor going to admit something like that knowing you're recording it to get them in trouble.

it's true they are not good for them (too much sugar), but rabbits definitely LOVE carrots. We have had a few over the years and they all loved a bit of carrot now and then as a treat. Once my wife dropped a bag of carrots out the fridge and our two rabbits at the time came flying from the living room to the kitchen to get a snack.

@@migmit Blame the RAF for this widely accepted misconception that carrots are good for eyesight (not even joking, they were trying to hide their use of radar during WWII... yes, I'm serious XD). Also yes that's what I mean loosegoose, rabbits DO like carrots, but it's not good to give them too much, cause all the sugar will be bad for their health if they are fed only carrots.

My conspiracy theory for this movie is the sloths are just faking it. If they weren't they'd never be able to drive cars, they wouldn't have the reaction speed to break if something unexpected happed. They also couldn't use crosswalks, public transport or a whole host of other things that require you to move at a normal pace.

Something that I love about this movie is the social problems are very up front in the plot. Not only do you have the predator vs prey for racism, but the comments made towards Judy (cute/dumb bunny, "are all bunnies bad drivers?") also demonstrates the misogyny. Let's not forget she's the first rabbit officer since "there's never been a bunny cop".

The tittle is word game over the word UTOPIA. And no, "topia" does not mean city it simply means "place". The word that actually means city id "Polis" you know like the city of Superman Metro-POLIS

the funny thing is, in parts of europe the name "Zootopia" is already used (by a zoo chain, I think) and couldn't be copyrighted by Disney so instead they used the name "Zootropolis."

Depends. Given how ready she was to use it, my guess is that Zootopia is a single-party consent city. So, the person recording only needs to be aware of it.

also 2party only applies to convos that you would have reason to believe it is private like a phone call(unless one is a public official) or private property, but if youre chatting away in a public place then its open to being recorded

Still one of Disney's best modern movies. It's very serious and handles its plot with maturity and intelligence that's hard to come by these days. To think, the original plot was actually going to be ALOT darker too

so depending on where in the world you watch this movie one of the news casters will be different from the others. the north american release its a moose voiced by peter mansbridge. to canadians he was a real news anchor who used to do the late night news on the cbc called the national.

Jane saying tase him (Gideon) before knowing the plot and the roles a taser played in the movie is telling and ironic in a movie about prejudice. Burn his den down? Okkkkkkk. Time to see if she learns anything from this movie by the end 😒

One thing i'm a tiny bit confused with is... the reporter on the right is a panda in your version.... but the US/Canadian version had a moose (Peter Moosebridge - voiced by canadian newsman Peter Mansbridge!) - why are you walking the asian version? LOL
