When she says that Jane is the one who can put the pieces together, it means Kay can finally grow up from being a vulnerable, wounded child to being herself. Because the trauma fractured her to multiple personalities that she didn't know who to be anymore. Now she's ready to be whole again and she will be Jane.

The problem is that while they started out as different aspects of her overall personality, when Niles messed with them genetically, they took on lives of their own, powers of their own. They became less a mental disorder and more 64 souls trapped in one body. However because both Kay, Jane and The Doom Patrol gotten to know a lot of them very well, even they don't want them to just go. If there was a way they could be free to live their own lives, then Kay would finally get over it.

@@Shanethefilmmaker yeah I can agree with you somewhat there but like real disassociate disorder other personalities have different skills so when the personas go away the original gains the skills. They may seem like different people but they are all Kay.
