I hear people say this all the time, that men will get it together for the one they really love. I think men and people in general can have profound issues to work through. If they aren't aware of those issues or unsure or afraid to deal with them, they won't regardless of love. Maybe they love you as much as they can. It's often hitting rock bottom, when life becomes unbearably painful that brings about change. Just my thoughts.

Well her last relationship would have worked if she would have studied his culture before marrying him. I married middle eastern man but I knew what would be expected. We divorced but it was not because of cultural. I think she goes into the relationship with blinders on and lives a fantasy untill the fantasy no longer suits her and then she is out. I would have tried to make it work with her sons dad unless it was abusive.

I can't stand the "can't keep a man" phrase. For one, no human being can be kept or owned like they're property, you can't control another person. And two, did you ever think that those men were no good and didn't treat her well in the first place. Because Janet has been thru it with these men. So it's not that she can't "keep" a man, these men were F-Boys, including that billionaire she had. She's also been thru domestic violence in her life as well. Y'all ain't going to talk about that tho, you just going to say she can't keep a man and how she physically looks. Of course Janet isn't the only superstar woman to go thru it with these men. Beyonce, even tho she chose to stay with her husband. Tina Turner, she was ran up out of the country (due to the gaslighting of Ike's abuse toward her), and had to move to Switzerland to find peace. Mary J. Blige, Michel'le and the list goes on. We can name a bunch of these women in entertainment that have been thru it with these men. It ain't because they can't keep a man. I read her memoir (I think that's what it's called) JD really helped her with establishing self love especially with her body and helped give her worldly exposure. He seriously dropped the ball with her and I'm sure he'll always regret it. You forgot the Bobby Brown alleged fling lol. I think Janet is truly an unconventional woman and sometimes tries to compartmentalize herself (as a result of her upbringing). It's okay to be single and just because these relationships didn't last, doesn't mean that they weren't meaningful.

While I do believe Janet can benefit from therapy, I 100% disagree that Joe Jackson was not the root issue and example of why the Jackson kids were messed up the way they were. He absolutely was. A child's first example of a relationship dynamic is their parents. And if you don't have a healthy example of what that's supposed to look like in your home, what do you think is going to happen? That is the issue with the community (the black community), always has been. Sweeping the elephant in the room under the rug, and pretending it isn't there. Not addressing the traumas and the people who caused it, is what has the collective messed up now. But I digress.
