I just saw Snow Patrol on Oct 20th. What a great job you did! There were a lot of Power Ballads that came out of the 80's. Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman. It's not a love song the way you're thinking, and it's not my favorite song. But it is the song that has touched me more than any other. When I was young, A friend of mine got hit by a car and died. His father was the music leader at my church, and we sang this song every Sunday for quite a while. The song is about taking the good with the bad and having a good attitude towards God and life regardless. I don't think the song is that amazing lyrically or musically, but if you listen to it, just imagine singing it out in public after losing your son. I always think of him when I hear it.
