@@AClassicBrick Yes one of the greatest set ever in my opinion. In the sense that you get a complete village in one single set that offers so much playtime for your kids as well. And the most playable feature of them all that I miss in this Blacksmith and all the other modular buildings: you can open up the village houses as a doll house. Houses are so much more playable if they have an open back or if you can open them up like the Winnie the Pooh or the Haunted House for example, instead of needing to take them apart like a modular. That’s what makes that medieval village set extra special in my opinion.

Colors inside seems period correct. In fact I would argue that outside would be much more colorful. Believe me or not but people always preferred to live in nice, bright and colorful spaces rather than dark and grey. Paint was somewhat expensive, but nothing blacksmith can't afford. To be honest this set overall seems rather late medieval, but really accurate. And just like with Barracuda bay, I will get that set as soon as I can. Preferably multiple of it since there is not that many civilian castle sets and it'll be easy to make small village with that set and a bit of modification

Not sure why people are still sour about release versions of ideas sets being different from the ideas submission. It's not like it's a surprise anymore. They're _all_ different and they have to be for many many reasons. Convertible to instructions, durability, price, visual impact, and I'm sure other things we wouldn't think of. Lego has standards and they do the best they can to balance those and peoples expectations, and at the same time, produce a quality product.

Hopefully LEGO will do this LEGO fan a very generous boon and put out an entire Castle with this level of detail and care. Thank you very much for your review Mr. Jang. I've also been collecting Lego since the 80s and a ton of castle sets. If Lego really wanted to some money from people like us. They'd develop a modular castle.
