I wonder if Jango's apathy towards the clones was partially a defense mechanism since he knew they would be dying on the battlefield and any attachment to them he knew would be wasted. He shows a lot of love for Boba even though he's just a clone like the others just unaltered, but since he's training him 1 on 1 maybe he has room to relax since he knows he's going to survive and continue his legacy.

I think because he had Boba cloned with no alterations, he had viewed Boba as if he were his own begotten son compared to the programed clones who had been generically programed which meant the idea of individuality had been removed. This making them no different than han droids in his eyes

From what I remember he had boba made also to teach his mandalorian ways to someone and in case he ever died to ensure passing these ways on to someone so they would not be forgotten in honor of jaster Moreel. Jaster had taught Jango everything and Jango had a lot of admiration for him as you can see in The name of Jango’s first ship “Jaster’s Legacy”.

The reek is responsible for the downfall of the jedi and the republic. if the reek didnt break jangos jetpack he most likely wouldve killed mace windu, if mace was dead he wouldve never gone to arrest palpatine where anakin found him and thought he was trying to assassinate the chancellor therefor anakin wouldnt have killed mace and probably wouldve killed palpatine himself since palpatine twisted it and made it seem like the jedi really were plotting against him. With palpatine dead from anakin, anakin wouldnt have turned to the dark side and the republic lives happily ever after. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

In the Disney canon comics it says Boba's armor is Beskar then in the Mandalorian he says his armor was his father's so presumably Jango's is no longer Durasteel in canon? Guess he repaired the helmet he used as a bomb or something not sure exactly how all it went down kinda sad though all the armor besides knee pads below the belt seem to be missing/lost now

Thank you for making this. I was afraid with the new Disney lore, all of Jango's EU backstory would be forgotten. That would be a tragedy. My favorite part was the moral compass of Jaster, and his dream for the Mandalorians. This lead Jango to be determined to live as a man of honor and a code to follow in the footsteps of his mentor. Jango was a Mandalorian leader finally worthy of following. He discovered a way for his people to exist independently as honorable bounty hunters without being used as foot soldiers in someone else's war. (A fate the Mandos have been cursed with since their inception.) I wanted to see the new Mandlorian empire unified under the just rule of Jango Fett. But instead we get spooky prophecy over a special sword, and house Katan. The show Mandalorian barely even mentions the ultimate Mandalorian himself- Jango. It's a travesty.

It's always been a point of contention between legends and canon. I tend to lean towards it being durasteel because of the blaster crater on boba's helmet.

@@w0lffe09 That was not the real helm even though many people mistakenly think that. If you look the sides of the eye visor on the bomb helm they are sharply pointed. Jango's helm has square sides on his visor. A bomb that small wouldn't destroy beskar anyway. A turbolazer blast and the explosion from the Razor Crest didn't even scratch Din Djarin's Beskar spear and that way a way bigger explosion. It was likely a durasteel helm painted to look like Jango's. Boba wanted Mace to know why he was going to die but he loved his father too much to actually destroy his armor.

I approve of differing canon opinions being unreliable narratives that are smear campaigns drom detractors. The minister was clearly lying in that scene. Same goes for any claims that The Fett armour is only Duraplast and has no Beskar in it.

I’ve always wondered what the endgame was for Jango. Like I doubt Dooku let him in on the full scope of the plan. Actually Dooku wasn’t even aware of the full scope of the plan lol. I assume if he hadn’t died in the arena and he was able to survive the clone wars, Sideous would’ve had him and Boba killed the same way he had the separatist council killed. Idk I wonder how far ahead Jango had thought about his involvement with Dooku and the Kaminoans

I don't know why so much importance/credibility is given to what PM Almec told Kenobi about Jengo. Almec lied and deceived the Dutches while leading her government, he was corrupt and power hungry. Why would he ever tell Kenobi the truth? Politicians always say what they believe is best for them in any moment or what they think you need to hear. Why people are treating Almec's statement that Jengo wasn't a Mandalorian and that he stole the armour as 'canon' is beyond me. It's only canon that Almec said that. Various factions of Mandalorians were hostile to eachother all the time and almost certainly one faction would say that some other faction aren't (real) Mandalorians (like Din says to Boba and the niteowls because they took their helmets off). It's just par for the course for hostile tribal politics.

@@NavyVet4955 But then why was Dooku repulsed? I would imagine that coming across slavers was common for Jedi, so they wouldn’t be surprised to see another. It would’ve made more sense that Dooku would’ve been more surprised to see the Jedi selling Jango into slavery, and would’ve been a contributing factor to why he left. Also, wouldn’t other Jedi also be repulsed as well? And even if the Jedi knew Jango was in slavery, shouldn’t they have helped him since they’re the good guys, and helping Jango would also let them end another slaver?
