Jani Lane: Comfortable With Sad

This is a song off of Jani's unreleased album, Jabberwocky. I wanted to make videos of the songs, just to preserve his music and his memory.

One thing I regret is not being able to see him play live. Some of his lyrics just break my heart :'( it's so depressing to think we'll never get new music from him. If I had a time machine...

Everyday I ask myself when they'll stop inventing this crap that no one needs and find away to take us back to a time when people actually enjoyed a show while there and didn't film it on their phones and watch it when they got home. The thing is no one knows what their missing . Jani died the same time my husband did and they only had Rasberrys digital cameras.

I couldn't agree more. Sadly it doesn't seem like there's a lot of us left but Jani's fans are very loyal and devoted. We stuck by him through the hard times not only because he was writing such amazing music but we understood that he was telling a story through his lyrics and that story was he was in a lot of pain. Many of us could relate to the pain that he was going through and still do. I think it's so clear by looking at all of these last pictures that were taken of him and even the photo shoots after dog eat dog he just stopped smiling. When you look at the early days he always had that beautiful big smile on his face. He did always smile though when he was playing for his fans . I think that was the only time that he was really happy and when he was in the recording studio. Sadly it became too painful for him to even do those things. Bless his beautiful gentle heart.

Would be great if the powers that be would put out a CD of the songs recorded by Jani for "Jabberwocky" and of course the money go to his daughter's , not so called Management. There's lots of good songs that would be on that CD for his fans.

Chris Hagy I wrote the music for Jani when he was with Warrant...:-). I wrote for many musicians and kept my name off my work. I knew Jani way before he met the band Warrant, and before he changed his name. Alice Cooper introduced us when we were kids. I was a lead guitarists who just happened to write great hit songs..:-). I wrote Stairway to Heaven, Smoke on the water, Beat it, so, so many songs....But, I continued to write for Jani, who helped me through out my life...:-). I hope to finish my auto biography to explain a lot of things...:-)

When he first started out playing places like Six Flags, we became good friends. He was sweet, funny, not the person he became after meeting Bobby. I miss my friend everyday. Our late night talks, hanging out when he came to town or I’d go see him in different cities. ❤️🙏

I would say he did write positive , happy songs and he was much loved by his family and many friends, but life is hard. That is a fact. And for those souls that are very sensitive it can sometimes feel overwhelming. He was who he was and that is what made him special. His songs come from a place of pure emotion that resonates with many and that is why he will live on in them forever.

Jani was amazing. I'm lucky I saw him perform so many times. Saw Warrant at their most popular playing arenas, but I really enjoyed the amphitheater and club shows they did later touring for Ultraphobic and Belly to Belly. I think Jani's writing got better with each record, even if the masses weren't buying the later stuff. His solo album Back Down to One and this Jabberwocky stuff is incredible. So sad that he left us so young. Who knows what great songs we'll never hear.

I see warrant in México city in a club we where aroud 100 or less persons true fans it was like no promotion no nothing about this show i guess around 94 or 95 not all the original members it was Jerry,Eric for shure this has to be the sadest show ever for me, as a true fan because i really like jani the way of writing lirics and music and the sound of the the band, jeni was in very bad shape singing out of tune doing stupid things not the guy i want to see as a fan he for shure was having a hard time you can see it, anyway i still a big fan of his music he was so talented in writing good songs he should leave warrant way sonner after dog it dog album and look for a solo proyect im shure it would be awesome anyway RIP jani
