No one. No one sings pain like Janis Joplin. Pain you have to feel to understand. Janis was the most authentic, honest singer of 60s. I saw her at Winterland in SF in 1969 RiP Janis Joplin.

Janis has been a big influence on me since I was a kid. When you read about what she went through growing up and the abuse that she took and then you hear her sing, you know all that raw emotion and heart and pain and anger is all coming from a real place. She was brave enough to bare her soul for her audience. She was the real deal. Besides music, I learned things like compassion and empathy from her. The world became "less than" when she tragically passed away IMHO.

Hi Rebeka Excellent Reaction. I just Love your expressions. Yes, Unfortunately, Janis was a member of the 27 Club. Meaning she Crossed Over at the young age of 27. Other Members of this Club include, Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, Curt Corbain, Dave Alexander, Alan Wilson, Amy Winehouse & many others. Something about that age, What a Drag.. You requested recommendations for Janis Songs, An absolute must would be her live rendition of Ball & Chain, at the Monterey Pop Festival, the song that launched her into Stardom in "67".

Rebeka...Again I have to comment. I grew up in Monterey, California where the Monterey Pop Festival was held in June, 1967. It was where Janis rose to worldly heights after 2 performances there with Big Brother and the Holding Company. I have one regret growing up there and that is that I was only ten years old when it happened. Therefore I missed her singing "Ball and Chain" at the show. It is absolutely an incredible performance that had even fellow performers like The Mammas and Pappas shaking their heads in disbelief and awe. Never got a chance to see her or Jimmy Hendrix and they performed a lot in the Northern California area before I turned 14.

Janis and I were born the same year. I was a big fan and waited eagerly for every new release. I liked them all. Note that she had long instrumental beginnings and often talked during a song. I assumed it was to save her voice,. Her singing was tough on the body. Try Cry Baby and Ball and Chain

Janice Joplin is in what is called the "27 Club" because she died at 27 years old so did Brian Jones the lead guitar player of the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison of the Doors, all died at the age of 27 between 1969 and 1971. Others include Kurt Cobain's 1994 death, Amy Winehouse - seventeen years after Cobain's death and even blues musician Robert Johnson, who died in 1938 was 27, he's one of the earliest popular musicians to be included in lists of 27 Club members. The deaths of several 27-year-old popular musicians between 1969 and 1971 led to the belief that deaths are more common at this age. Music biographer Charles R. Cross wrote: "The number of musicians who died at 27 is truly remarkable by any standard. [Although] humans die regularly at all ages, there is a statistical spike for musicians who die at 27."

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friend Rebeka!!...You are so beautifull!!...If you decide to react to famous singers videos in the future, here you have your best gift of your life, because with that face, you are going to get 1 million of views in one day!!....Today it is very difficult to find reactors like you who have never reacted to the best singer in the world, Dimash Kudaibergen, who has 7 octaves and 3 semitones vocal range (An alien) ... Maybe someone made you a request to react to Dimash, but you have not had time .... I am going to dare to recommend that you meet Dimash, because when you do it for the first time, your life as reactor will change forever ....For example, the number of views that you have today, it will increase by 300% in a matter of a few hours and you will get a lot of new subscribers.....But when you react to Dimash, don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did Dimash from the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one.... You can also start with the other famous live version of that song that Dimash did the following year 2018 when he was invited to the famous Slavic Bazzar festival in Belarus .... Both performances are from another planet...And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they suck!...Your life will never be the same again, after reacting for the first time to Dimash...And your first reaction to Dimash will be something very special, so I recommend that you do the best job of your life as a reactor, because that first video will be seen by thousands of people around the world, maybe millions...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8U
