Oh my goodness!! I can't believe her voice is even better than it used to be. How is that possible? This version is even stronger than the original. And it's live - not a fussed over studio confection, but the way she actually sings. WOW. This song is so painfully beautiful and her voice is so uniquely gorgeous. Everything I love about her sound is on full display and she belts out those notes as though it were easy to sing THAT well. Amazing!!

Both are good, but nothing can beat the original. It has punch and intensity that this song needs. This song is supposed to express sadness and anger (like the original). This version just expresses sadness.

Sharing a story Jan how this song changed my life. In 1994 I had just had a separation from my wife. I was very egotistical at the time and had just spent the night on a first date with this amazing young woman who was really, really into wishing to have a relationship with me. Long story short, I had brought her back to my apartment and we had sex. In the morning I was just wanting to get her out and was really just being cold. While she was getting dressed, I had mtv music playing on the tv and your song came on. As I watched and listened to your song, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of hurt for how I was treating this this amazing girl. Changed direction, made her a cup of coffee and chatted with her for awhile before driving her home. I never did see her again, but this song helped spawned a moment in my life, when I came to the self realisation that I was insensitive. Changed a great deal since then and have learned to be more loving and compassionate to all people. Thank you for this song, and thank you for sharing your love and energy.

This song has so much meaning to me. It reminds me of a love that I had that was never realized. To this day, I still think back of what could have been, but never was. One day she and I were sitting in my car and this came on the radio and we just stopped talking and listened to it. This defined that point in time in that relationship.
