Feeling the rhythm in tennis is all about getting into a groove with your movements and shots. It starts with your footwork, syncing up your steps with the ball and finding a consistent rhythm in your swings. It helps you maintain focus and control throughout the match. 1. Split step: You should initiate the split step right before your opponent hits the ball, be in the air as your opponent hits the ball, and land just after the opponent hits the ball. (in the video the SFX happens when Sinners feet touch the ground after opponent hits). You should land with a wide base so you are balanced and ready to react in any direction. 2. Bounce of the ball: Your eyes should track the ball as it bounces as you watch its height and speed. This helps you to judge when and where to move. 3. Hitting the ball: You want to hit the ball where you are strongest. By then your feet should be in place and body balanced. The rhythm comes from syncing these movements - split step, react to the bounce and the time you hit the ball. I cant believe how clean this guy hits the ball. No shanks, every shot perfectly hitting the sweet spot with impecible timing.

That gunshot sound of the ball coming off the racquet! And, NO GRUNTING. Just the pure sound of hitting. Hallelujah!

@@sejinjang4541 Dubbed? Ridiculous take. I have stood next to Sinner when he was hitting and there is no one on tour that makes that sound when hitting the ball.

Great video! For a moment I was thinking so that was what Cahill said about the unique sound that Jannik makes hitting the ball lol.

There are few players in history that if you play in his forehead you're in trouble and if you play on his backhand...the same😅

I’m obsessed with this. Sinner seems to keep a pretty regular bounce hit tempo. Is that good form? To hit the ball more or less the same time after it bounces? Thoughts on that would be much appreciated.

Sinner had a great ability to hit the ball early on the rise and he does so with great timing and by hitting most of his shots with a neutral stance. Hitting the ball on the rise allows him to take time away from his opponent. I’d say yes this is better than waiting to hit the ball on its way down but it depends on the match with factors including: tactics, opponents skills, court surface etc.

I get the rallying and the 3rd clap of the serve What are the 1st and 2nd claps for the serve rhythm supposed to be?

1st is when his motion starts, second is when his elbow goes up to trophy position

Yes so basically it’s more of a feeling. 1st is when the hands go back, 2nd is when the hands go up, 3rd is when you make contact.

Just a suggestion but the videos would be much better if the added "ball striking noise" wasn't added. Other than that, great footage.

Cheers! This video is available without the ball hitting SFX on my channel as well although this video was made to emphasise it. Thanks for watching
