This reminded me of Chittenango Falls where I would go hiking in Upstate,New York. Your Running Eagle Falls Painting is beautiful! I like the mist, scumbling, at the bottom of the falls and in the sky. Hope you are having a good day and will even have a better evening. Thanks for sharing your information and through explanations that make it easy to follow along!

I Wanted to comment on week 8 but couldn't find the comment section. I had a hard time finding this video at all My browser wanted to show me any other video in this series but this one. I do love this series and have enjoyed painting all of them. My son thought the Exit Glacier was my best effort so far. Thank you.

Thanks David. I do enjoy painting with you. Just did Wildflowers #10 today. I did Landscape #10 on Mon.-Tues. That one was special to me because I grew up in WY and from 89-95 I lived just on the other side of that range in Rawlins. Felt like home. I have not been finding the comment area on a lot of your videos lately.

nice job with the running eagle falls painting demo. keeping your colors balanced , also which do you prefer plein-air outdoor painting studies or studio.
@JansenArtEducation3 жыл бұрын
Both! I use plein air to capture a feeling and colors then usually make a larger painting in the studio from the thumbnail I create in the field.

Another beautiful landscape painting. I know that this sounds crazy David, but it is all becoming clearer to me now how to build up a painting. My previous perceptions of "getting it right" with one sweep of the brush once, has now been destroyed! So much to see and learn from you David...thank you for your excellent videos. Best wishes...David..UK.

Thanks David. Yes there are many ways to approach a painting. I like to always think.. "I will revisit this area again". This keeps me moving and stops my terrible habits of playing with it, which never really works.. 😀

Your voice has such caring while you comment that I've decided to study landscape painting along with you. I have your paints, paint it simply paint pallet and extender. The pallet has dried paint mostly. Do have a video that has instructions to remove the dry paint? This happened to the pallet because I had a traumatic episode and couldn't take care of the simplest life activities. Thank you for you great talents and gifts in artistry and teacher.
@JansenArtEducation4 жыл бұрын
My pleasure 😊 No we don't have a video about that. I have removed the dry paint by soaking the palette in hot water for several hours which makes the paint soft so you can peal it out. It is not an easy thing to do.

This is beautiful! Thank you for the references you provide! I find it amazing how you can see/sort of detect color above and beyond the surface. Is there a way to develop this awareness?
@JansenArtEducation4 жыл бұрын
I apply everything to tones. I look at the color not the structures. Works better for me.

Hello Master, The series of these landscape challenges is wonderful. I have a question : How to make these beautiful paintings with an atmosphere like that of the painter Albert Bierstadt. The Hudson River School is an extraordinary school, the painters of this school have majestic results. I would like to learn their technique, is there a book that could help me in this learning. I will never stop thanking you for your kindness and generosity. Thank you very much.
@JansenArtEducation4 жыл бұрын
I have painted several of Bierstadt's studies. Love his work. I have also taught the Hudson River School technique is many seminars around the world. I will be doing more in the future. You can find some books, but I do the techniques in acrylics. I find it easier than the oils. 😀
@naoui76184 жыл бұрын
@@JansenArtEducation I looked at the works of Bierstadt, they are magnificent. I will wait for your video to learn this technique. This school is great, the paintings are expressed with a soft atmosphere, it makes the painting warm and alive with history. I can't wait to see this technique, especially explained by you, it can only be extraordinary. Thank you for your reply, dear master.
