Sure, she might care about him in her own twisted way, but she'd be willing to allow him to be used a human blood bag and tortured to get the enzyme the rest of his life just like she tortured Minho. Teresa only betrayed Janson at the end because he said they weren't going to give the cure to everyone. You can see it all over her face the moment she actually decides to betray him, and it's not when he's threatening to hurt Thomas. She doesn't care if he's in pain so long as he's alive.

This movie was so great, even if it was different from the books. The connection between Teresa and Thomas. I think he subconsciously knew, deep down, Teresa did what she did, to protect him, to protect all of them. He loves her, and he couldn't do it... He couldn't shoot her. She saved him multiple times, and he treated her like shit. But he came to understand. He knew, and he couldn't do it. He couldn't kill her.

Or Teresa betrayed them and didn't care when Minho was being tortured so long as they found a cure and she only turned on Janson to save Thomas rather than use him forever to make a cure when Janson said they weren't going to give it to everyone. You can see it all over her face the moment she decides to turn on Janson, and it's not when he's threatening to hurt Thomas, it's when he says he's going to choose who gets to live and who gets to die. Teresa is a traitor who cares more about herself and WICKED than she does anyone else. She would have kept Thomas as a prisoner forever, taking his blood and giving his enzymes to people for the rest of his life, not caring about the stress and torture she would have to put him through if it meant having a cure. And when did Thomas treat Teresa like shit? When he agreed to kidnap her but wouldn't let her be harmed by the others because it was the only way to save Minho when he was being tortured by Teresa and the rest of WICKED? When he threatened to shoot her, because if he didn't', Janson would have taken him and Newt right then and there, possibly killed them, and there would have been no one to help Minho? It was Teresa who treated Thomas like shit. Betraying him, doing nothing when Janson punched him in the gut at the end of the Scorch Trials (who cares if someone hurts him so long as he's alive?), almost kidnapped him along with Minho to be taken back to a life of torture, said she would betray him again if it came down to it, allowed Janson to strap him down in a lab and threaten to make the rest of his life hell and only betraying Janson when she learned he wasn't going to do what she wanted and cure everyone? Teresa has allowed Thomas to be physically and mentally harmed over and over again and she doesn't care so long as he's not dead. Thomas gets shot for Teresa in this movie, pushing her out of the way of Janson's bullet even after everything she did. I hope Thomas gets over her quick now that she's dead and moves on to form a healthier relationship with someone like Brenda. After all, Trenda is supposed to be endgame. They are in the books, and you know they're going to get together after the movies. Thomas just needs some time.
