All I hear when seeing this is my mom saying "My novella's on! Everybody OUT!!" and kicking all of us out of the living room. This was her all time favorite show since the 70s up to when it finally ended.

Same for my mom. She was a preteen when AMC debuted in 1970 and watched it from its debut all the way until it ended in 2011. It was her favorite soap of all time.

Mona's picture was the best one! Even she has passed away, Francis was the best! And Susan Lucci & her had great chemistry. You would have thought they were a real mother & daughter team!

I watched for Kate Collins, not for Susan Lucci.

Oh okay thanks. That is true, that they usually are perceived to. A lot of my peers use gay in place of lame and it sounds too cliche to me by my upbringing. I embarrassingly talk like an English aristocrat and hardly use words like "gay" to describe something tawdry or stupid.

It's all for the best I suppose for the world to see this person's idiocy, in order to see clear of him (?). I blocked the sad sap. I naturally assumed that he was using "gay" to mean "stupid" or "lame" like kids only do. It's very much a positive stereotype for gay males or people in general to love soaps, because they have are perceived of having a higher appreciation for drama and the arts. If he meant gay in that sense, I think he was calling me a lesbian in his 2nd comment to me. :)

@VaultMasterDBT Exactly I agree entirely. Thanks, so I'm not odd. I just roll my eyes and give the "are you serious" look if someone with me says that. I don't want anyone seeing me as backward & ignorant. That usually tells me someone has a low IQ, because me myself wouldn't want to be caught bashing gay people by calling something or someone gay in negative manner. I'm always careful with my choice of words so I don't offend someone, & avoid sounding unintelligent like some teens/young adults.

Hardly anyone over the age of 13 seems to do it (thank god), and more adult people only do it in the mocking sense. Keep up the aristocratic approach - if any mature person in their right mind thinks "gay" as "lame" makes sense, there is no hope for this world.

What are you, like 10? "Gay" should never mean "uncool" and "stupid". Why would you be watching this if you didn't care for the show?

Sorry about this, I can't. You are clearly in the right and anyone can tell. It's better for people to see banrepguy's true colors, so they know the real him. Considering I'm straight, I found it insulting that he stereotypically thinks that only one orientation of males watch soaps. That is very insulting to both straight and gay men who watch soaps, as if that there is something wrong gay men or straight black men like me watching this. I'll watch his thumbs down add up.
