Thalassophobia is one of the most touching story i have ever heard 😮. It blew my mind. The amount of loneliness a person can handle and pain that comes with it is immense. Thank you for narrating it

A Call from the Darkness... I was not ready to hear the name VanDraven again. I had to restart that story, and it still sent chills down my spine.

FOR THOSE WHO REMEMBER JAWS* Great work as always man, the story "thalaasphobia" made me realize I've met someone who MORE than most had a reason to be afraid of the Ocean! I was at the VA hospital in the 16th month of a 90 day combat PTSD program, yes you read that correctly, they kept myself and 3 others with the same occupation and unit type for extensive therapy. Anyway one day we were sitting at the smoke pit, when what appeared to be a 90 pound, 92 year old lady pushing a wheelchair out of the building [[ the man in the wheelchair besides being the same age and 6'4 couldn't walk due to be injured while in the Navy ]] and she could not push the wheelchair over the auto door runner, guys just walked by them like they didn't exist. I jumped up, ran over and asked could I help her?. She said yes, looking relieved as I took control of the chair, asking the man where they had parked he said "top of the parking lot", now the lot was approx 150 yards from the DOM entrance where we were standing and uphill at a 45% angle. I pushed his chair to the truck. While talking to the both of them, I asked 2 questions. 1* if I gave them my phone number would they call and let me know what days his appointments were, so I could come help them and 2* how'd he get injured?, this is when I learned he was injured during the sinking of the USS INDIANAPOLIS, and was one of the lucky survivors. I got him up to help him into the truck and he hugged me with tears in his eyes and said " thank you brother, we come here and these young guys act like they don't see when we have problems" I hugged him tight and told him I felt very blessed to have met them and to call anytime for anything. It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. So, if anyone has a right to be afraid of the ocean, it's a survivor of the USS INDIANAPOLIS. Do not let this story make you think I am a good person. I've done too much over the last 24 years to ever be considered good. Lmmfao

I like this one a lot! But I don’t think one beer would hurt, even two. I don’t think it would hurt, unless he gets drunk From one beer. 😆.Ven Dreven sounds like a vampire. They call houses that are a little big. Five bedroom two bath, dining room and an eat in kitchen. That means I grew up in one.and live in one now. I have all that and a finished basement with a full bar, pool table, TV with. Videos games. A living room and a den where the tv and couches. I’ve bedrooms or an office. I would be nice to a creature in my house if it took care of my home and family.

If someone is an alcoholic they can't just take one drink. ONE beer leads to 20 more. They pick up where they left off.

You really do not get just how f'd up it is from my point of view, do you? You couldn't imagine what it has been like these many years, waiting for help, and just when you think you can trust one person and you put your trust in HIM you are let down and hit with the biggest and final blow. That final blow hurt more than all the others put together. I have lost my place and no longer can get focused. I'M STILL IN HEll and it drives me crazy that you do not understand just what that means and how I just had to let it all go. I have done more than my share of the work to make this world a better place. I'm not doing anymore. Thanks for nothing but hurt and let down.
