On the Eyeberry Bush... Like, paralyzed with fear is one thing but with all the stopping and inspecting this bush did, it feels like Hazel was up there for a significant period of time... Our protagonist is seriously standing there with his little berry basket, squinting eyes, drooling from his agape mouth. Like you couldn't have done ANYTHING?

Not a bad story in the least, and definitely original, but even the format of 'found footage' (found a camera in the woods and put the SD card in my computer) would have worked better than eye witness thing. The story has too much detail for someone who's watching this happen in real time and recounting the events.

Though I still don't understand why that would lead to people hating the platform as a whole rather than just the people who were making those few corners of it a toxic space. As for the Chinese spying on U.S. citizens....the U.S. Government is spying on us, as well, correct? It's actually a huge issue. But, again, those are all fine reasons to dislike those portions of the platform. Personally, though, I feel as if a lot of people tend to overlook the same things happening on so many other social media platforms and are targeting tiktok for those things while ignoring it on others which simply doesn't make much sense to me. It makes me wonder how much of it is true activism and how much is just mob mentality and I can't understand the difference between tiktok- a platform in which I've had only positive experiences, myself, and is being shunted for the same things done on- KZbin, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media site.

@@kenetickups6146 Personally, I saw a lot of really good content on TikTok- especially from the cosplay, art, and general fandom sections. It seemed to me that it was a platform where people weren't afraid to be their authentic selves and where many finally saw a chance to speak out against wrong doing and abuse. I liked it. I didn't really see anyone being a, as you put it, "attention wh*re" but rather a large number of exceptionally creative individuals trying their best to have a good time. If you don't mind, could you explain to me your criteria for being a, again, as you put it, "attention wh*re"? I feel like we might have a very different sense of it.

@@kaliscluckers1428 compare those to the MILLIONS of videos put out by teens and young adults doing little skits to say "haha I'm funny" or talk about themselves and why they're so special was far and few in between. The true pinnacle of Tik Tok cancer was when that girl made a video of herself saying she was gonna stab people who said All Lives Matter. People used Tik Tok to more or less feel the popularity/attention they never got in high school and it shows. Anything to become viral, become an e-celeb or some kind of influencer with millions of followers is all that mattered to its users. A few people did animal care etc but nothing is stopping them from using another platform for it. But if you want the Chinese government to spy on you and your personal life then by all means stick to it. I'm sure national security can wait when you get all those likes and retweets from sharing your videos.

Definatly would have taken photos of the pile of shoes. Then contacted the park rangers,or the closest authorities in that juridiction. Why? The entity in my home story; that guy should forgive himself. I can kinda understand her not really being able to get past it but... I dunno. My husband has a sleep disorder and has punched me in the face, hyperextended my wrist, and tried to break my arm while in a sleep state. It's kinda like he is a different person in those states. Even the set of his face and the way he holds his body is different, and terrifying, when he's like that... But now we know what's going on and I have basically given the disorder it's own name so I'm able to not hold it against him. I now throw water in his face which wakes him up instantly, it's the most fascinating thing to watch his muscles relax the tension they were holding at the same time as he reacts with shock and is like "Honey! Why...?!" But then he's like, "Oh, right .. is it time for work?" 😅

The problem is that China owns tik tok and has been stealing and selling people’s information. They’ve also been using it to monitor the user’ locations, which is a problem for the military. The US and China are not on good terms so it’s for security and protection purposes
