January 2025 Solar Generation - Little Heat Pump Issues

Talk through the solar generation for January 2025, we also touch on the usage of the house and the problems I have had with my heatpump.

Interested in your heat pump. We were going to replace our gas boiler with a heat pump but didn’t and the more I hear the more pleased I am Hope you and Steph are ok after the crash

Yeah the heat pump problem is fine but just annoying which I will talk about on a video. We are all good after the crash 💥. I will release the footage once all the legal issues are resolved.

Sounds like it's short of gas, get a proper Air con or refrigeration company in!

It’s not short of gas those tests have been done by the manufacturer.

I'm really happy with mine, although I went for ground source not air. Its far cheaper than the alternatives we had. It doesn't work like a gas boiler - no red hot rads which you feel the heat from at a distance. Its just warm inside everywhere, and pretty much always the same temp. It needs big flow rates and large surfaces to emit heat from. Great if your willing to install UFH or have room for big rads. Not at all suitable if you have 10mm piping and are using it to replace a gas boiler. It needs the whole system to be designed for it. Our house is 19th century with rubble filled solid walls, very difficult to insulate but it still works and is economic. Choose your installer very carefully.
