Always love this challenge. Need to figure out January still, but I’ve also been meaning to read the Henrietta Lacks book, so maybe I’ll finally pick it up in February.

As an illustrator, I typically am drawn to illustrated book covers, and push away from photos on book covers. But a lot of your recommendations work with my reading goal for the year (to have half of my fantasy & or romances be by non white authors) so I'll probably pick up one of the ones you talked about! For January, I just finished Touch of Darkness from our book exchange, so I may cheat a tiny bit and pick that one ... :)

I love that perspective! I actually miss the old school illustrated stepbacks on romance covers and love when authors like Katee Robert do nods to that style. And I think Touch of Darkness is an excellent pick for January! I can't believe I didn't pull that one!

I'm still not sure what I'm gonna pick for January, I'd thought it'd be easier for me to find one lol but for Feburary I'm hoping to plan on reading Britney Spears' memior finally.
