Book shopping with my husband is life goals!! DIY tip - get an electric screwdriver! I got a Bosch one and wondered why I'd waited so long, it's great! #middle-aged 😂 I really enjoyed Addie La Rue, Year of rest & relaxation, and Americanah. Can't wait to read Red Rising, which I bought a few months ago. Yes what did happen to the two other members of Destiny's Child and also Sugababes?! I'm adding some of your haul books to my wishlist right away... Feel you with the brain fog, but mine is perimenopause 🤪 Xx

I have a January birthday but as someone who lives in a similar climate (the Pacific Northwest in the US) I am not offended in the least by your hatred of the month! We get a minute more of daylight per day from Dec 22st onward so that is my mantra until end of Feb when we finally have some daylight past 5:00 pm 😅

Hi! I love your videos, and I recently got into books. I have a few questions for you. How do you start a booktube channel? I’ve been thinking of what I would name my channel and I was wondering if I should use my first and last name or just my first and add book nook or library, something to do with books. Plz tell me your opinion.
@NickellesNook14 күн бұрын
Ah thank you! ❤️ Tbh I just kind of fell into this community, I just wanted to speak to other people about books, created my first video one afternoon not really excepting much and here we are, over a year later! 😅 My advice: start today! ✨ Also re: channel name. It’s entirely up to you! You’ll think of a name and it’ll come to you. If not, just use your actual name. ☺️ Feel free to share your channel when you start one.

I love that you and hubby read together. It's a dream of mine.😅 I love historical fiction, and the book trapped in history has arisen a curiosity in me for sure. Also, take the holiday! You really sound like you need one. 😊

Omg you need to convince him sis!!!! Mine wasn’t much of a reader at all, but now he’s beginning to love it like me. Yeah it does sound pretty good doesn’t it?! I know, we haven’t even booked our honeymoon either, but I think that won’t happen until next year. We keep putting it off 😂🙈

I totally understand your January blues! The weather in this country has been absolutely miserable - and it's only been my holidays abroad this last year that have given me a consistent dose of vitamin D. I soooo hope you can get away for some sunshine this year because it makes the world of difference. Love your videos, and love the real chat.

Congratulations on your girlfriend/boyfriend anniversary. When I was planning my wedding I noticed that our girlfriend/boyfriend anniversary was one of the dates offered, so I chose it specifically so our anniversary would stay the same. This year we'll be celebrating 21 years of marriage and 29 years together on 8 May. Oh, and I totally agree about January and February. Horrible.
@NickellesNook14 күн бұрын

My birthday is in January but I understanddddd, the darkness at 4pm is not it 😭 I’ve got the invisible life of Addie la rue on my tbr too!! Another buddy read?! Cracking up at the billy bookshelf montage, Toby won’t even let me near flat pack he knows it’s not gonna go well 😂 Americana sounds soooo interesting, adding that to my tbr right now!! Can’t wait to hear what you think of red rising cos I’ve been thinking of picking up for so long, love that you’re doing as a buddy read with your hubby!! 🥹 not liquid dreams trying to copyright you in dying 😂😂😂 speaking sunny destinations in 2025 in existence for you 💕☀️☀️

Ahhh I did think when I was editing this, oh no it’s debz birthday in Jan! It’s also my dad and two of my besties birthdays in Jan too. So I’ve offended you all. 😅😂I do apologise! Yes yes yes! We need another buddy read to do as I don’t have book 3 from the MP series yet. OMG I’m so pleased that you’re like me with the flat pack! I felt so stupid for not being able to do it. 🙈 I know it’s meant to be simple but my god, I HATE IT! 😂😂 It serves me right for being shady and assuming they’re a washed up boy band. I believe they’re still doing shows here and there. Oh my goodness thank you so much! And the same to you ❤ I do hope you had a lovely, cosy bday! I can’t wait to see the vlog soon 💕🎉

Did you ever read Cherry by Nico Walker? I remember you buying it but don't think I've seen you mention it. I read it on audiobook & enjoyed it but suspect it might be a bit marmite!
@NickellesNook14 күн бұрын
No I haven’t gotten around to it yet! 😅🙈 still on my list to read though. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Do you recommend the audio version?
@alison_505014 күн бұрын
@NickellesNook yeah (and I'm very quick to ditch an audiobook haha) I think so. On Storygraph reviews some people said they struggled with all the army abbreviations on audio but to me, I just let it wash over me- I could follow the narrative fine without worrying about those details. Short too 👍

Your reaction to the morning after pill made me want to share. I dated a guy whose mum was a volunteer at the 2012 london Olympics (she’s a gp). The most common prescription she gave out was the morning after pill 😂 It makes sense, all these fit young people with a lot in common and wanting a good time 😊

❤❤❤❤ Ahhh Michelle! It’s SO lovely to hear from you. You are missed, you really are. I’m glad to read that you’re feeling a little better, but yes I understand it takes time. Please look after yourself and take care. Yes, I am enjoying it so far thank you. It’s a little slow in the beginning, but I guess that’s because of the world building. I hope you’re reading/listening to something atm if you’re able to. I’m sending you so much love and spoons your way. I hope and pray to see you back on our screens soon. 🤍

I DNFd The Invisible Life Of Addie Larue but I really hope it will work for you😅 I just feel that the main character does not ring true to me. She pretty much feels like a regular young adult after being alive for centuries. I feel that this sort of experience is bond to leave some deeper marks on the personality. To me she felt shallow and uninteresting.
@NickellesNook14 күн бұрын
Oh no! 😂 Thanks for sharing though, I appreciate it! I hate it when a book disappoints you or the characters just seem to totally uninteresting and not captivating.
