I’ve flown on JAL 1/2 in business a couple of times, but it was always on a 777 and business was the original Sky Suite, in a 2-3-2 configuration. My wife would have the window seat and I’d have an aisle. Even with the strange configuration, the mattress that’s provided let me get a solid 6 hours sleep in each direction, even with JAL 1 leaving SFO in early to mid-afternoon. Food service in business was always excellent as well, particularly with the Japanese menu. PE and cattle class on JAL are also quite spacious. Don’t know if they still do it, but cattle class used to be 34” seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, which at least made long haul travel survivable, if not actually comfortable. Nice video!

Can that privacy partition be lowered by the passenger on the other side, or is there a way to “lock” it?

The last time I took JL2 must be at least 20 years ago, those were still the days I go SFO/YVR or SEA/YVR. And business class seats were still angled seats.😒
