Damn, that was a seriously close call. I always wear a glasses mirror but I've had more trouble on rail trails than with cars. Last week I was basically chickened by like 8-10 teens on to the very narrow gravel edge of a paved trail with a raised bed and steep sides. Skidded and nearly crashed but managed to stay upright after getting whacked right under the knee by a pedal and racked a few times by the top bar. I now feel ancient and feeble in my early 40s because I was the victim of a "gang of youths". 😭

Another great video, thanks. I was surprised that you didn’t use the insta 360 camera. The camera you used in this video gave us weird angles when you turned the camera to show the side of the road. Other than that (except for the traffic) another beautiful day biking and filming in Nagoya. How much harder is processing a video with the GoPro vs the insta 360? I have both but for home use I don’t do much processing.
@TwoWheelCruise3 жыл бұрын
We're using the GoPro on longer rides and this will have a part 2. The Insta360 requires more processing time since you need to export it twice, so it does take double the time to edit in some cases.

Ok i hear a squeak while your riding it sounds like a spindle on the non-drive side...maybe, or the front break? At the end of the video i heard the break but the squeak I was initially talking about was occurring when riding with only the left hand on the bars. Who knows ...extra pressure on the pedal or from feathering the break. I just hate squeaks!! lol
@TwoWheelCruise3 жыл бұрын
Suika-chan needs a lot of love at the moment. BB and headset needs replacing, left brake lever is broken, and probably some other things I haven't noticed yet 😅😂😅 Debating upgrading or just going for a new bike which will probably be cheaper..

I am just curious about the use or non use of daylight running lights in Japan. I don’t recall seeing anyone using them in your videos. Is there a law preventing their use in Japan? In the USA, they have become much more commonly used in all areas of the country during daylight hours. I have been using them for at least 8 years for commuting and general sport riding/training and I can say that I’ve probably avoided many serious accidents with cars due to my use of them. Can you explain what is the norm and laws regarding their use in Japan? Thanks.

5:29 yeah, dunno why they have these narrow 2 lane roads, Taiwan is 2 times the population density of Japan, and the 2 lane roads aren't even this narrow.
@TwoWheelCruise3 жыл бұрын
They always use the excuse "Japan is a small island country with little space", but Taiwan somehow manages to do it. Though some of the roads here are a lot older.
