@@TwoWheelCruise Someone once abandoned a bike at the Meijer where I live for 6 weeks. It was unlocked, perfectly working, and not once was it stolen. Eventually the police took it away after no one claimed it (after that 6 weeks). For how crazy bike theft is in America sometimes, Meijer seems to really look out for their parking lots. I felt a lot safer leaving my bike out there after noticing that one never got stolen.

Everything - but everything - is plastic wrapped. One thing I have noticed on holidaying in Japan is the enormous amount of superfluous packaging. Get a takeaway coffee and it comes in a holder placed in a paper bag with packaged sugar and a plastic spoon wrapped in plastic and then all put in another plastic carry bag. Hard habit to break but it is so wasteful especially as soft plastics are very difficult to recycle. Hope the Japanese recycling system is dealing with the waves of container plastic. Even here in Australia I have seen individual bananas and oranges wrapped in plastic. Huh? I thought they were already wrapped. Great video again. Thanks for the vicarious adventures!

@@TwoWheelCruise in our state in Australia the government banned single us plastic bags for packing groceries. The public outcry was horrendous. Great video. Some differences between this and the UK. Your bike would have been stolen without being locked up. We have many more bulk buy options. Interesting to compare. Cheers 😊

I just wanted to ask a semi random question - in a previous video you made about Tannus Airless Tires - did you have them shipping from somewhere to you whilst you were there? I'm assuming once I hit Sapporo its not going to be a regular item in a Japanese bike shop, is it worth me trying to get them before I arrive?
