Not surprising at all. MOS, Freshness, First Kitchen and especially Lotteria put in additives and ingredients (cheese) that are more compatible with Japanese taste palate, so they taste off or weird to an American palate. That just leaves McDonald's and Burger King, which are exactly the same food they serve in the US, and I think the charbroiled additives they put in the burger are going to win over the normal McDonald's cheeseburger if you're into that.

I loved seeing all the different burger places in Japan! Oh. and If enought of the places can do a fish sandwich, you could maybe try making a video based on those? I know McDonalds has the Filet-o-Fish in Canada, for instance... Maybe other places do the same? Oh, and as always, you guys looked adorable together!

This was a great video, I agree with Mindy's Mom, on the taste of American cheese, but I live in Idaho and we have a Five Guys and it's my favorite place to get a cheese burger, you get to pick all of your condiments like ketchup, mustard mayo, onions that are grilled instead of raw, grilled mushrooms, lettuce tomato and pickles. And also bacon if you want. But this was a good comparison video, thanks again, love you guys!

Ahh, cheeseburgers! Who doesn't love a good cheeseburger. I love all kinds of burgers, but top it with cheese and it's like heaven. I'm currently going dairy-free so I miss my cheeseburgers, but I eat with my eyes and Freshness Burger seemed to top my list. I love that they make it fresh and top it with lettuce and tomato, yum. I can't wait to see your next fast food taste test, they are so fun to watch.

My fave fast food burger here in America is also Burger King. Love the chargrilled flavor but they also always have fresh vegetables on them especially the lettuce... here some people call the lettuce "crispy water" it's always fresh and crisp (and has no nutritional value lol) the lettuce isn't soggy or flimsy like some other places.

I love Freshness and Mosburger when I visit Japan but my all time fave is Kua'Aina. They opened on in Sunshine City and their avocado burger is amazing. Would love to see a video comparing Teddy's in Yokohama and Kua'Aina for the best "Hawaiian burger"

If you are in Shinjuku I highly recommend Castle Rock Burgers and Steaks. Small place but such a good burger. I got the Bacon and blue cheese with egg burger.

the only burger place I've been to in Japan is MOS burger, the other ones I could eat any time but simply don't very often. but the Signature MOS burger is special for me, two fastfood things I want in Japan are it and Gyudon, usually Sukiya. Cheap but gourmet level taste for me :-). Love your videos guys!

The Freshness Burger looked to be best value, and as someone that has an allergy to pickles it will be my go to when I come back over next year. I should bring some pods over from Australia for you as thanks for all your videos and help they give tourists :)

Oh yes please do chicken sandwich comparisons!!!! and maybe some sort of seafood burger comparison, like fish fillet burgers and/or fried shrimp burgers? Though maybe the kind of seafood would be different at each place so it might not be a fair comparison. but it could be interesting to just see which place's "seafood option" tastes best in your opinion! You could also compare each place's fries!

I loved mos burger so much! I can’t wait to go back and eat it again. The burgers there are the perfect size for me because I can’t eat much in one meal. I can barely finish a Teishoku (set meal) and if a restaurant has the option, I always got the petite size. I miss the Japanese portions. I hope I run into you guys when I go back to japan! I had Burger King in shinjuku once...it messed up my stomach so I will not go back there again lol I haven’t had freshness burger cuz someone said they weren’t that good/overrated so I didn’t eat it. Next time I will go there too, if I have a friend go with me because the burger looks so big.

Wendy's is actually a really good burger. Not always the case. Chili and a baked potato is on another level though. I can't remember the last time I had less than 3 McDonald's cheeseburgers. It's too bad you don't have Carl's Jr. the Famous Star is what a Whopper used to taste like. So sad. haha Freshness looked homemade, looked like a brioche. WOW.

Five Guys can be found in a lot of countries. The food is overpriced and they use peanut oil, which is a little weird considering the fact that peanut allergy is one of the most common allergies in the world

The patties are cooked on the spot but that doesnt make them fresh. I do like that you can add tons of extras but they only put tiny amounts of each extra. There fries are great though because they are fresh and cooked in peanut oil.

I really like Wendy's in america because they have really good salads! Weird to go to a fast food place for a salad, but they are yummy. In the 80's and early 90's they even had a really nice salad bar but have long discontinued it
