You wanna check out your favorite idols live? Or maybe join me in a moshpit?
Either way you are going to need to get tickets for the show.
This is the easiest way to get them.

Hi there, thanks for the video (although it's about 8 years old :D). I will be in Japan in February and really wanna buy tickets for a US Hardrockband but it seems like it's problematic without any japanese credit card. Is it possible if my friend, who is living there at the moment, could buy me the tickets for the gigs in Tokio and Osaka or are they personalized? The venues will be ZeppDivercity and BigCat. I would be so happy if you could maybe help me in this case. Thank you in advance :)

Hey. I actually really need to update this video. Things have changed quite a bit and I’ve purchased a fair few in a number of different ways since then. These days most peeps buy online and have them posted or pick them up at a convenience store, also Lawson isn’t the main game in town anymore. If the event issues paper tickets and they are not digital only, which is usually the case with the larger venues, Yes. Your friend can get you your tickets, either online or through the convenience store machines, or a mixture of both m, depending on the payment options they choose. If they can work their way around Japanese ticketing websites then it is fairly straightforward to register an account and buy tickets. If they are not registered or their Japanese skills are lacking, I can help them out. I would offer to do it myself, but I may not be in Japan in Feb (I am trying to scrounge together money for a ticket to visit home as I haven’t been back in 5 years) if I’m successful it would be hard for me to get you the tickets.

@@DarcNoodles Sorry that I just see your answer three now after three weeks but thank you for your help! My friend bought me both tickets and now I asked myself for the ZeppDiverCity Gig: Is it a "first come, first serve" event or is it a numbered ticket. I just found one number on the ticket which is called a reference number (after translation) but I'm not sure if it's my number for standing in the queue or crowd in the venue. Do you may know more about the system for this venue? It's not an extreme famous band like maybe metallica or Rammstein so I'm not sure which system the venue is working with. Thank you so much again for your answer and sorry for my belated one :)

@@silvermoonie1 It's just the number for the order in which you can enter the venue. At the gig they will call out number x to number y can enter now, then number y to number z can enter, and so on. It's to ease entry stress and it gives those who bought their tickets sooner the first dibs at choosing where they want to stand. it doesn't determine whare you are exactly you can go wherever there is space, but pushing peeps out of where they are is generally rude. I say generally, because I like to mosh. At metal shows, I always move to the middle as does everyone like me, so peeps don't mind so much that I push a bit to get there. I just tell them I'm going to mosh so its there or here .

@@DarcNoodles ah I see. Thank you again :) Normally I want to reach the front row or better the first three rows in front of the stage so I hope I could get there with my number. Unfortunately I can't speak japanese so it will maybe hard to find out when I could get in with my number 289 (it's the number I found on my ticket). :)

@@silvermoonie1 they will probably say anyone up to number ‘x’ can go in each time they call out numbers. Usually In batches of 10. Listen up for the guy shouting ‘ni hyaku kyu ju ban made’ (pronounce it phonetically) it means up to number 290 If you hear ‘san byaku’ as the first 3 syllables in the number sequence it means 300 has arrived so you can deffo go in. One sneaky thing to do is if you see other foreigners up front push toward them indicating you are heading to them then stand next to them like you’re their mates. It’s a bit cuntish but Japan tends to put up as many roadblocks as possible against as possible whenever it can. We should take advantage of being gaijin whenever we can. Another option is when the bands start there is usually a forward surge. Just surge a bit more and make up ground then.

Concerts really start so early? CoB already at 17:00? or are there usually one or two opening bands, and then the main act plays around 20:00?

Hey just a tip, blurring out the phone number probably won't work when we can see what numbers you pressed anyway :D

I'm not sure if you will see this comment. But I was wondering if I bought three baseball game tickets on the loppi in the same seating area, would my family and I be able to sit next to each other. Also does the name and phone number you put come out printed on the tickets?
@DarcNoodles
@DarcNoodles 8 жыл бұрын
+LifesVideos The name does, I'm not sure about the phone number anymore (in truth I buy all my tickets online now and have done for the past 2 years since getting a credit card) You might be able to select seats for events with numbered seating, but so long as you are all in the same area, in my experience with concerts, the tickets you get are usually sequential)

Honestly I don’t know. I’ve never tried. But you will need a Japanese address, even if you choose convenience store pickup. Unfortunately rampant greed of the CEO class, coupled with constantly increasing prices and taxes with salaries that haven’t gone up in 30 years means I’m not likely to be leaving Japan anytime in the foreseeable future (possibly ever) so I can’t give it a try. If you give it a go and succeed, let me know. I will try update this video before the end of the year and I’ll include that info.

hey, thanks for the video! if i've won by lottery (i'm still finding out the results...) how is it different? do i have to have the same card i used to pay at the machine in family mart as i input on the lottery website? because i won't be in japan in time to pick up my ticket within the period i have to, so i'm asking a friend to get it for me.. who doesn't have my card... also, do i have to pay the fee for the lottery even if i don't win?? thank you!
@DarcNoodles
@DarcNoodles 8 жыл бұрын
If you apply for a ticket lottery and you win the card is automatically processed. They then mail you a receipt with a barcode. You can redeem your ticket with that.

hi i just saw your video! forehead hobi you said you won in lottery.. so what page do i have to go for lottery? for example one ok rock? i know its sold out already but i couldnt even find out how to get tickets..what are these lottery sites? greetings :P
@DarcNoodles
@DarcNoodles 7 жыл бұрын
noe Ticket lotteries are usually presale. Recently most companies use e+ or a ticket Pia to handle their lotteries but some do it in house. Depending on the band info will be on the their site. The basic idea is, there will usually be a lottery period before (often months before) the live. You apply online wherever the site tells you to apply, and you checkout your purchase like you bought the ticket. If you win, your card is charged or if you are paying at a convenience store, you'll receive the details of how to do that. If you don't win, they inform you, and you're not charged. This all happens before he general tickets go on sale so that people who don't win the lottery, still have a chance of buying a regular ticket. Sadly, however, that means if the live is already sold out, the lottery has already finished.
