Japan is DUMPING 1m Tonnes of RADIOACTIVE Water in the Ocean...
In this video, we're giving you the latest news about Japan releasing 1 million tonnes of radioactive water into the ocean. This is huge news and the western media has been silent on the issue. Why?
China has banned Japanese seafood from being exported, and the western media is finally beginning to talk about the issue. Japan is dumping nuclear wastewater into the ocean and the western media is letting them get away with it. It's time for us to stand up and demand change!

Correction, it is not nuclear waste water. It is nuclear contaminated water. Nuclear waste water are those used for cooldown a normal functional nuclear pant, it never directly had any contact with the nuclear materials. These Japanese nuclear contaminated water was used to cooldown a damaged/leeked reactor, which means direct contacted with the inner contents of the reactor. The difference is same as compare water in the toliet water tank with the actual water in the toliet with shxt mixed in it.

In fact there is a solution! Russia and China once suggested to Japan to evaporate the nuclear-contaminated water and bury the remaining nuclear waste deeply, but the cost is 10 times more expensive than direct discharge into the sea, 34 billion yen. (i.e. 34 billion vs 3.4 billion yen). However, the Japanese government allowed TEPCO to use the cheapest and most convenient way (but immoral) to discharge it directly into the sea! What the Japanese government did not expect was that China and Hong Kong banned the import of Japanese aquatic products, which caused economic losses of more than 150 billion yen in the Japanese aquatic industry.

Exactly my thoughts.....if Japan strongly claimed that their nuclear waste water is safe, then why don't Japan keep it in their backyard and used it as their main water source for both commercial and household use. They can also released the water in their many rivers and lakes including in the Tokyo Bay. Instead they are releasing it in the Pacific Ocean causing trouble for other countries. Since the Japanese love their seafood, Karma will have a much easier job this time starting with their fishermen who will definitely be affected. And yes, where are all the western media and countries as they seem to be in silent mode as normally they will be the first one to make noise as they claimed to be the environment champion.

There's no way to make them disappear even you dilute them millions of times. From the time Japan release contaminated water into ocean, our living environment changed from ZERO to ONE. Those contaminants will be always there, and accumulate in our food chain through time. We just don't know WHEN this time-bomb will explode."

Worse thing is that tritium bioaccumulates. Due to physical chemistry... tritium ion being so much heavier than hydrogen, sticks to organic acids and amines ( which exchange hydrogen ions with water) much stronger than regular hydrogen ion.... so life and the ecology will concentrate the diluted tritium from the seawater. And the large quantities of tritium (even if it is very diluted) means that a lot of pacific biosphere can be contaminated.

They should be concerned. They are essentially going to contaminate their own backyard... and while the initial tritium in the water is very diluted... tritium bioaccumulate.. ie life will concentrate it into their flesh due to physical-chemical properties of tritium and its effect on hydrogen ion exchange between organic acids and amines with water.... and subsequent bioamplification up the food chain... think of the DDT problem in the 1980s as an example of bioamplification. There is so much tritium that this is going to be a big problem in the pacific ocean ecology. Upside in about 36..years the problem should solve its self as the tritium would have decayed...3 half lives. Down side... other nuclear nations might also get the bright idea of dumping their nuclear waste into the ocean too... about 90% of all nuclear waste is just material that was exposed to the core (and became radioactive) and not uranium/plutonium core material itself.

About Japan's nuclear contaminated water treatment device (ALPS), it is a nuclear contaminated water filtration device made by Toshiba in Japan. First, this device was the first of its kind in the world and had no prior examples, related usage experience, or data to support it, nor were there any relevant experimental analysis reports. It relies solely on Japan's unilateral statements. Second, the filtration effectiveness is strictly controlled by Japan, and even the International Atomic Energy Agency cannot directly inspect it. They can only examine samples submitted by Japan. Third, the technical data for the filtration device is too vague, making it necessary to estimate that multiple filtrations may be needed to effectively reduce harm. Fourth, the consumables for the filtration device are not cheap, and it is impossible to verify if Japan can strictly perform multiple filtrations. Fifth, Japan refuses real-time monitoring of its treatment results by any party. As seen in the news, neither the International Atomic Energy Agency nor South Korea, China, Russia, or Japan allows monitoring of treatment results. Sixth, as stated in the International Atomic Energy Agency assessment report: 1) The International Atomic Energy Agency explicitly states that the report does not support Japan's ocean discharge claim. They are not foolish and do not want to bear a thousand-year reputation. 2) The greater diplomatic and political instability caused by Japan's ocean discharge is something they have long anticipated. They have subtly expressed that Japan's actions are not under their guidance and control, and more; this is a matter of speculation. Seventh, although the United States supports Japan's ocean discharge behind the scenes, they had already started prohibiting the import of Japanese seafood before the ocean discharge. These can be verified through news sources. Eighth, this is also one of the most concerning issues: isn't the United States concerned about polluting the ocean with nuclear contaminated water?! According to ocean current predictions, most of the contaminated water flows toward the west coast of the United States. However, when the contaminated water reaches the west coast of the United States, its radiation levels are not significantly worse than the nuclear contamination produced by the west coast of the United States itself. The radiation index on the west coast of the United States is already severely exceeded, but the range is not large. So, what's the key to this issue?! The key is that the United States is only polluting a small part of its own land on the west coast, while Japan is contaminating the entire world's oceans at nearly the same level. This is also the origin of the statement often made by the Japanese, "Europeans and Americans can eat radioactive food, why can't Asians?"

Living in the UK, our water companies have charged us to recycle waste water and then dumped it in the sea for years. They are fined pennies by the government each time but they save millions as a result. obviously not as bad as making Godzilla a reality but who wants to go for a swim in a poo congested ocean?

Tritium has a 12.3 year half. You need to skip fish for about 27 years. Two half lives should solve the problem... in a sense this is a short term problem that will solve itself in a few decades... the real problem is that japan solution of just dumping its nuclear waste into the ocean... (about 90% of all nuclear waste is just materials exposed to the core and not the core material itself).. is an easily solution on how to get rid of most of the world's nuclear waste. Just dump it into the ocean. It could start a trend like how president Bush junior started a trend when he partially solved US nuclear waste problem by simply redefining what was nuclear waste. President Bush and the trend he started flooded the steal industry with so much radioactive steal... that radiation sensors could no longer be made from modern steel... and thus started the industry of salvaging steel from WW2 ships... as their steel was not contaminated.

You should stop eating seafood after around 100days,because Japan may have secretly discharged nuclear polluted water into the sea long ago, which is why the United States significantly reduced its imports of seafood from Japan a few months ago

Should be "nuclear contaminated water" On the very first page of the IAEA report, they clearly stated that they do not endorse and shall not be responsible for the release. IAEA said Japan ONLY request them to test two substance. And they ONLY tested and OK with those two substance. Means IAEA did not test for others harmful contain if any, and will not be responsible.

Worse... tritium bioaccumulates... life essentially will filter out the tritium from the water (it is physical chemical process due to the significantly atomic mass of tritium compared to regular hydrogen_... and as herbivores eat algae and predators eat prey... they too accumulate tritium from their food... so the higher you go up the food chain, the more tritium the animal has in its flesh. So while the water has low levels of Tritium in it, the animals who live in that water will have far higher levels of tritium in their body.

100=1 * 100=0.01 * 10000. So no matter how many times it is diluted, the total amount of tritium remains unchanged. Undoubtedly, a large amount of tritium will enter the ocean and be shared by the world.

Worse... is that tritium bioaccumulates. Put some bacteria, or alga into a tank of very diluted tritiated water, and after a while, you will find that those organism will have higher concentrations of tritium within them than the water. Put predators into that tank, and the tritium concentration within the flesh of the animal increases the high up you go from alga, to herbivore to carnivore.
