The food looked outstanding! Never had burdock root. All I know about it is burdock grows in the fields and the burrs get stuck in the horses manes and tails and my dog's fur.

I’m curious did you like raw fish sushi before moving to japan? Or did you have to acquire a taste for it? I can’t for the life of me like sushi but I want to so bad 😭

My experiance start with light colored fish first, then move to darker. I used to hate it, and made me gag. It was mostly the seaweed I didnt like. Texture and the seaweed is the biggest hurdle imo. But now I love sushi. I say keep at it. The more you eat something it grows on you.

A lot of Japanese food is relatively low calorie.

Half way through, you just know it's a 6. Then the shrimp fishcakes come on and it has to be a 6. It looked amazing but I find all the Japanese food is presented very well.
