As soon as you mention the towel, I checked my favorite travel towel I bought long ago (more than 7 Years) I don’t even remember which city it was, but definitely one which has a samurai town, It was sold at souvenir shop.And guess what, it IS imabari towel, all this time I didn’t know 😂😂 I just bought it because I love the pattern, I think I got a face towel but quite long like an onsen towel with pink morning glory as a pattern, it’s soooo cute. I use it as a body towel till now whenever I travel bcoz I always travel as compact as I can and normal towel usually use a lot of space. BUT even tho the size is small and quite thin, it unbelievably absorbent and bcoz it quite thin it dries quickly too. Still quite fluffy till now even tho I abused it thru the years 😂😂 love it❤ definitely want to buy it again! Japanese knife still one of my top list but for whatever reason I still didn’t buy it … PS: I dunno if I should thank you or cry on the corner cuz after this, my wishlist def increase…lol

What a great story thank you so much for sharing! I really enjoyed reading your comment! 😊😊😊 the quality of the towel is so good isn’t it! They last for such a long time. Haha I’m so glad to hear 😂 keep these items on your wishlist and take your time to feel/ see them before you decide whether or not to purchase when you’re next in Japan! 🥰

@@gorillasinheels waaa never knew I’d get pinned!!thank you! You’re so kind replying the comments! But yea, I’m considering buying Bruno at thrift store, some said that used appliances in Japan still have good condition. And about Japanese knife, is it worth it buying a budget knife for a long term use? I once almost buy a Santoku (I think it was santoku) knife at tsukiji for ¥3000, I doubt the quality bcoz usually it range around ¥15000, right? But it was sold at tsukiji so at least it still in good quality…I dunno (didn’t have the chance to try it) Oh! And your list of recommendations really helpful for someone who actually have been to Japan several time or at least once, a lot of video recommendation was meant to be for first timer, so thank you again!
@gorillasinheels Жыл бұрын
😊😊 I bought my Bruno secondhand as well and it works perfectly! Santoku are very good all purpose knives. I understand the quality of the knives can be determined by how long it holds it’s sharpness and how easy it is to sharpen. I can’t wait to return to Japan already there’s so much to see and learn about! ☺️☺️

Hello! Great video recommendations! With regards to the spectacles brand that you mentioned, do they have sunglasses and are their products made specially for Asians who might have a low to non-existent nose bridge? Lol I have a pretty flat nose bridge so I find it hard to find sunglasses that sit on my nose bridge without sliding down every few minutes. Hoping to find a great pair that I would wear all the time. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!

I loved this. I really welcome enthusiastic recommendations from, well, anybody and everybody. Plus, I love hearing about what other people buy and love when they're on holiday. Thank you! You're the third person who's recommended an imabari towel so we bought one from Standard Products near Muji and are yet to test it out. We were searching for a bigger bath towel but they seemed to only sell a smaller size so it will be interesting to see how it works out. Thanks for your great channel. (PS: Your husband wandering into Mikimoto not knowing what he wanted to buy, only that he wanted to buy you something, is adorable. Lucky lady!)
