My friend and I are going this summer...I haven't been shopping in-person in a while lol so this was really helpful! And you have such a soothing speaking voice Would you also consider making a video about your favorite fragrances (candles, incense, perfume, etc) if that's your cup of tea? I feel like you'd do a good job presenting them :)

Onitsuka has a pretty good marketing strategy for highlighting the japan made versions from the SEA made ones. But it also highlights that they know their SEA made ones are not as well made.
@gorillasinheels Жыл бұрын

Thank you for the videos you have done. I've watched them and not in order lol. I was wondering if you have or can make a video on how you pack delicate items in luggage. I am interested in the porcelain bowls but it's scary to pack it and bring it home!
@gorillasinheels9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching them :) The trick is to make sure they are packed very very tightly so that they do not shake with movement. The best way is to use string /rubberband to tie around the stacked bowls and plates, put it in a box, and fill it bubble wrap & rolled clothes. If not, what I have done is to wrap them tightly together put lots of bubble wrap around (the shop can help to do that) and wrap them with towels. I try to hand carry them as much as I can.

Thanks for these recommendations!! I always love shoes so yes every time I went to Japan (almost every year from 2012 till Covid 😂) I will try to buy shoes especially boots. I have my onitsuka slip-on for 6years now, bought at shibuya, mine was SEA made too, but I love it so much that ever since I had mine, I rarely went out with sandals even when I visit my friend house which 10 minutes ride 😂 it still thrives till this day and hopefully for a couple more years. I want to buy the Japan made one but the price was quite high for me that time, like 3x than the SEA one. Onitsuka really fit like a socks in my feet but that’s actually the problem, the sole was very thin for a long walk so I won’t wear it for a trip that require a lot of walking everyday. And it was very slippery too especially when walking in the rain at the sidewalks in japan (or is it due to how I walk?lol). That odette seems nice can’t wait to gotojapan again…
@gorillasinheels Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing! Yes I feel the SEA made ones are good enough too 🤗 I’ve heard some comments that they aren’t really for heavy duty walking (>20k steps a day) but so far I’ve had to issues! Yes do check out odette and I hope you have some nice finds the next time you visit Japan! 😊

Well using someone’s hand a lot is more like a habit that the person is not even aware that she’s doing it. I am not affected by it cause it’s the content that I am interested with.
