We've been in Japan 3 years ago. We visited Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka. We had a great trip in Japan. We relied on google maps during our trip and luckily it went well. Sometimes you have frustration on finding a certain place. For convenience, we bought a JR Pass ( it is cheaper when travelling long distances), Suica card and rented pocket WiFi.

Hindi ko kasi sure kung enough na yung padded jacket or dapat ba wool type of coat? And where did you buy it? Sorry, dob't quite understand the railway pass stuffs. I am going to Japan in two weeks, will stay in Tokyo for 3 days, then go to Kyoto for 4 night and 4 days, then 3 days in Osaka. When i am in Kyoto, I will go to several locations by train, so the Osaka amazing pass doesn't cover Kyoto, right? But does the Kyoto pass cover the Shingensan ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto, and after 4 days Kytoto to Osaka? Does it also cover my trips to several locations around Kyoto? Completely lost by the different lines, rail way companies. How do I konw which Line I should take, I just know the location where I want to go.

I tried searching hotels in agoda and around dotonbori area and I can see a lot of 3-4 star hotels with good proximity around the tourist area with that price range which includes breakfast na.
