Foodie recommendations: Dalian gyoza in Chinatown is epic! Also Banraitei is a famous yakisoba place there. The edamame cucumbers are worth eating as a meal on their own! Juraku has the best chashu bao buns as well. I would snag one nearly every day on the way back from Kannai.

We visited once and I told my wife "this is the cleanest Chinatown ever. If I dropped a dumpling here on the street I'd pick it up and eat it!" Cleanest Chinatown in the world. 😁 Ok Tia, how many times did you try that Kedama? Not saying you edited out all the failed attempts...?😂
@OnePackWanderers

It's funny you mention the cleanliness, because we had the exact same conversation 😂 Usually Chinatowns have a slightly shabby feel to them, but this one is immaculate. We had at least 3 takes on eating the kedama 😂

I'm glad you two are enjoying Japan🇯🇵. I live in Kanagawa prefecture, where Kamakura and Yokohama are located. I don't know what your future plans are, but there is a hot spring♨️ town in Kanagawa called Hakone. There are many good hot springs in Japan, not only in Hakone, so if you get a chance, give it a try! I wish you both good memories. Oh, and thanks for trying the udon I recommended😁.

The fried chicken is Taiwanese, called Ji Pai (chicken steak). You see them bashing it flat in night markets, I have always presumed that is how they get it so big. I just got back from Japan a couple of weeks ago and found it odd you can't eat your street food in the street.
