I have some suggestions to improve the safety on the bike. I suggest you rotate the box so the opening faces you. Because if you forgot to secure the lid, wind will blow it open when you ride and probably cause you to crash. And it also offers some convenience if you need to quick access some thing while seated on your bike. Get some reflective stickers to put on the corner edge of the boxes. This is good width clearance indicator for drivers if you ride at night.

Nice setup. One little suggestion, add some florescent stickers on the box in the back. Based on the video, not sure you have a light in the front after installing the box, Since you are riding long distances, the light and the florescent stickers will provide better visibilities for car drivers in poor weather. Safe Riding!.

I live in Poland I once went on a ferry to Sweden with my bike. The bike wieghed 90kg with all the bags. Average speed prolly 8-10 km/h. I did take dry food, having known that food prices were roughly tripple at the time. I didn't know how to ask for water in Swedish, and I needed about 5-7 liters per day. Best trip I ever had. One day I'll post the vlog online

Become friends with how the brakes work and repair. Your extra weight will need YOU to service them often. Pads are cheap but damaging the the other components are expensive.

I suggest you get a very secure motorcycle mount with a vibration damper. I've had two phones fall off. Also, the constant vibration from the road can damage the image stabilization so vibration damping may prevent that.

Sorry for your phone. It’s trying not to be too broken. Be sure to get some reflective tape on the back of your moped because you will be driving at dusk and at night. It will be almost invisible until you are right up behind it. Orange reflective triangle or tape. They also make flashing lights for the back of your helmet. Be safe Robin-san!

You need to add a Flag or graphic on the back of the box to show- “Nomad Push Across Japan” or something in japanese so people driving by know that you are not local and on a journey. Maybe they will be nice and help and you get to learn about that person and their unique life story. Edit- or getting a sticker from each town or area you visit and stick it to your moped or boxes.

shouldve asked him to make a trailer instead. Im an avid scooter rider and it seems like a good idea but you need a trailer for those top heavy containers as scooters depend on the weight being low. you can get very light one wheel trailers for scooters as well.

To save your phone in the future, look into a waterproof bicycle or motorbike case. They are like a bag you put your phone in that straps to your handlebars so it cannot fall out from a weak clamp. Just be careful during really hot days, as the case won't vent, and your phone can overheat and shut itself down.

Moped San don't worry. I got an Tour with my 50 ccm this year. 440 km . 13 h needed for. This was a crazy drive. Helping a friend.. I was first an big Biker Honda X11 and co. But if youre driving slow, you see so much more. First Time I was driven so slow, I found a lot of interesting places. So good luck for you.

you can get more horsepower by changing the carburetor exhaust it looks like you might need to do some of that front tire it depends on what type of drive it is belt chain shaft easier to get more torque out by changing your gear ratio and help you go up hills easier
