there are alot of places in Japan that are so haunted yet no one explored or investigated them.. today we are the first to not only make a KZbin video in general here but the first to do a ghost investigation here.
Perched atop a majestic mountain, this villa shares a remarkable resemblance to other haunted locations like the grudge or seriously any horror Hollywood movie . However, what truly sets it apart is its true origin, which dates back to the year 1910. This magnificent residence was once the home of Asajiro Yura, a prominent and prosperous Japanese businessman. Born in 1878, Asajiro hailed from the esteemed Yura family, renowned textile dyers associated with the prestigious Kishu Tokugawa clan. After completing his education at Osaka University, Asajiro embarked on a transformative venture in the dye industry, elevating his family's business to new heights.
During World War 1 in 1914, Germany decided to close off imports to Japan on certain dyes and chemicals that the Japanese needed so Asajiro learned to make them himself for his country (refine industrial-grade pure benzene) the government loved him for that . He then also produced Phenol for disinfection Aswell as gunpowder for explosives during the Sino-Japanese War and World War II. Because of this he was closely tied with the government and higher ups in the military.
People claim they discussed the attack on pearl harbor inside his home .. Asajiro passed away on 1964 at the age of 86 leaving behind everything including his family. around 1980 they family moved after they lost one of their children due to a illness. Since 2005 many of the locals and people will NOT go up this mountain or look at the place because they believe its haunted.

I like that Dan is really sensitive to the culture, like pointing out the fact that they are wearing shoes inside the house, which would be really disrespectful in a living home. Also he is aware of the communal dining area, and mentions that they are only asking about Pearl Harbor because of the rumors they heard about the house. I appreciate that as someone from Japan. If you want to play into those cultural norms and see if that will spike the energy a bit more, I would suggest you take an offering of sake - pour it into sake cups you find in the house and introduce yourselves formally at the main dining area, before you start any investigation. If you don’t drink, take fruit or sweets. Also, keep your voices low. If you travel in Japan, you’ll notice how quiet it is. There’s nothing that turns Japanese people off more than loud, raised voices. Just some local tips - love these videos, love you guys, and love that you’re exploring Japan!

The Grudge Noise is from 17:49 - 18:02 if you want to skip it. I think it's also annoying they added in sound effects like that when we're trying to also listen for evps/taps/noises. I hate that Ghost channels feel like they have to add in loud music/sound effects to "be more scary". We're here for the raw footage.

I know the "grudge" sound effects are fun to use on over dub on a video to make it scary, but maybe if you could keep them out when you/we are listening for the sounds you both hear as it's impossible sometimes for us to determine what's an EVP and what is a sound effect. I understand it's a popular way of doing a video and it can bring suspense and other emotions into play, but it can also be super distracting when watching as well as hard to determine what's genuine evidence and what's just edited sounds and music. I'm not saying this to be rude or anything, but just to point out that it can make it hard for us as viewers, people who weren't there, to completely understand what's going on and what WE are seeing and hearing. So please don't take this the wrong way. Great to see you mixing it up with Dan and giving us new content and new locations. 😊😊

That "grudge noise" almost made me stop watching. I love these types of videos, but that noise can be triggering in a way. It may sound silly because it is just a noise, but it almost sends me into a panic attack when I hear that noise. Maybe it's just me though, I'm not a scary movie fan anymore after watching The Grudge...by myself...in the middle of the night 🤦‍♀️ Also, Josh it's FLIR not FLAIR lol 😆❤

I agree with a lot of the other commentary on the sound effects. I get the purpose, but it makes it harder to beleive the real that happened because there's tampering with the audio, unless you're gunna increase the mix so we can hear it... Also I'm glad that you mentioned your friend that had filmed there too. I was watching this gasloghting myself that I had already watched this video somehow because the house was familiar.

In case anyone wonders: Japans houses loose value very fast so the ppl don't bother renovating old houses even in populated areas. Abandoning homes is very common and leaving the junk behind is too because trash disposal is very expensive. Also there is a whole market if you want to buy a house/apartment that is "haunted" because someone was murdered there or just died

The term is 'Stigmatized Property' and there are specialized real estate agents that handle such properties. Not only are the Japanese incredibly stupid-sticious, they are the oldest country, population wise. One third of their population is 65 and older, most in the world. It would seem they are 'painting themselves into a corner' so to speak. For such a very small land mass and very large population, they are heading for their end.

I watched a video of actual Japanese citizens do a tour of this entire house and land and they told the whole story of the house and the relatives of the home, from the year it was built and from when the last of the family left the house to never return, they went during the day and spent the entire day there until sun down and nothing happened, just a light bulb fell on top of a coffee table but that was it, it was once a very beautiful house well a traditional Japanese mansion, but it has nothing to do with the Grudge, it was mainly family members unaliving themselves

If they do tours of the house then I feel like the title of the video should be changed or they should at least include some info about people doing tours

I did hear though that they were indeed filming The Grudge, or "Ju-on" in an allegedly haunted house in Japan. I see what you mean though and this is definitely not the same house. I also think it was the same house for the original movies as well as the american remakes and also featured some of the same staff and the actress portraying Kayako, the ghost woman, despite her being mostly CGI'd in the remakes.

@@Elf_maxxx They don't do actual tours, I meant that he and his friend went to the house you went to and filmed a youtube video of the entire house and property to show their subscribers and whom ever else sees their video on their channel . I apologize for not being more clear about what I said in my earlier comment. I do like your video's, I've seen a few of them and subscribed.

So towards the end of the video Josh that message in the EVP session that you had asked are you upset that we are in your house" it sounds like a dog bark, or even out, but that's someone in Japanese saying yes! It's in Japanese, it says hi but in English it means yes.

52:03 - I think that was Dan whispering "K2's going off" - I went back and checked, and Dan whispered about the K2 after asking his question about the man who said he's standing behind them. But all the other evidence y'all caught was great! The handprint, the "I'm behind you," all the knocks, taps, the RemPod going off when you mentioned Pearl Harbour...so far it's been another fab BTD - I'm gonna go finish the vid!

That handprint was friggen mind blowing!! A friend of mine posed a great question though…if spirits don’t have a physical body then how is it that they can make a handprint? The obvious answer would be maybe they have human form in the spirit form? But even then it’s a great question to think about and even greater evidence in this video. Wow. Just wow

30:25 I’m sorry but as a skeptic I need to point out things 1. That was so distorted that it can be anything you imagine it to be 2. If it’s a ghost who doesn’t understand English, how does she understand the instructions to speak into the microphone?
@6969scoots
@6969scoots Жыл бұрын
I have noticed when they use that particular device, “growls” and the sort could easily be made by sliding a finger over the microphone when it’s recording. The resulting sounds from the friction gives off that growl sound. I’ve seen a few other channels with that dr 40 do it and you can try doing it with any recording device it’s not hard to do. Like you said can be interpreted as whatever they want to make it out to be

In 1946, both the European and Pacific Wars of WWII had already ended, the previous year. Additionally, Japanese Officials would have carried out many high-level meetings in numerous places in Japan to prepare for their bombing raid of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It's kind of fun watching your video anyway. Your over-reactions to everything give me a chuckle. It would be great if you cut all the background sounds out so everyone could actually listen to what (or what isn't) going on.

Josh.... Just a reminder mate, whenever you guys explore make sure to bring gloves because you might expose yourself to anything which may get attached to you such as negative energy or such. Bring sage as well just for safety purposes. Bring indoor slippers as well because wether you like it or not, those haunted japanese houses still does need to be respected by taking off your outdoor shoes and wearing indoor slippers. Just an advice.

55:52 - It really sounds like 'ao', which is just 'blue' in Japanese. If it was 'Nao,' that's usually a female name, and can be used in short of other names, such as Naomi. I also believe you mentioned naobi? Naobi means to correct something that's seen as abnormal or bad, and to restore it to its normal and good, or even original state. There is also a spirit 'Naobi' refers to, and it is a spirit that rectifies wrong. More particularly, Naobi no kami are deities who restore conditions to this normal/good state. They remove all sin, pollution, and disaster to bring back the pure, bright, and correct.
