This was awesome. Except the poor kitties. I would have definitely taken the mom and her babies back to the mainland with me. Someone would have taken them and nursed them for rescue. So so sad. Cats are my favorite animal. I’d have 100 if I could. Regardless, great explore!!

I know what you mean. I had some real life experiences that had me feeling as though it was hunting me, like something was walking on my grave. Seriously I had escaped death a few times in my life and a couple times were twice in one day. I had experienced some over all general anxiety, I absolutely hate those feelings, as a result of my experiences, and then I made the mistake of seeing that show. Slick move heh? Yeah, that damned movie got to me for a grip too. One way to rid those feelings is to do something for other living being and that is what you will be doing by contacting a no kill shelter. Hey Josh, seeing all of those stray cats breaks my heart. I'm currently feeding some strays around my home. I wish I could take all of them, but I just can't afford to right now. 😿 The sad thing is the shelters, pounds and rescues in the U.S. are all over capacity right now. I think it's because of Covid. If you (anyone) can rescue, foster or adopt just even one dog, cat, rabbit, horse, ect you would be helping out. 😇

I’m confused by this. You said that it closed down in 2001 but i was reading about it and it says this “ Mitsubishi officially closed the mine in January 1974, and the island was cleared of inhabitants on 20 April.” But i clearly see proof of people there in the early 2000s. Just to help calm you Josh about the Cat and her kittens in the box in the hospital, she may have had her kittens elsewhere and moved them there to keep her babies safe from predators, mother cats are practically good at hiding their babies to keep them safe :) But I go agree that all the cats need to be rescued especially if they're ill :(
