Japan's Three Greatest Autumn Leaves Sites / Nikko, Yabakei, Arashiyama / Spectacular Views of Japan

In this video, we will introduce you to Oku-Nikko (Tochigi Prefecture), Yabakei (Oita Prefecture), and Arashiyama (Kyoto Prefecture), which have been selected as one of the "Three Great Places to View Autumn Leaves" in Japan.
Enjoy the ultimate view of autumn leaves, the pride of Japan!
Oku-Nikko is a spot where you can enjoy diverse and beautiful natural scenery such as swamps, lakes, marshes, and waterfalls formed by the volcanic activity of Mt Nantai.
Yunoko is a lake located in the northern part of Senjogahara. It is surrounded by mountains and forests and is famous for its autumnal colors.
Yudaki is a waterfall on a cliff just south of Lake Yunoko. It is a famous place for viewing the autumn colors.
Senjogahara is a vast marshland that was created by the reclamation of a lake caused by the volcanic activity of Mount Nantai.
Ryuzu-no-Taki is a mountain stream waterfall that flows down from the Yugawa River as a rapid stream.
Lake Chuzenji was formed by the volcanic activity of Mt Nantai. Hangetsuyama has a magnificent view of Lake Chuzenji where you can see the entire lake.
Kegon no Taki (Kegon Waterfall) is one of the "Three Great Waterfalls" in Japan.
Yabakei Valley, located in Nakatsu City in the northern part of Oita Prefecture, is one of the three most famous places to see the autumn leaves in Japan.
Shinyabakei's "Hitomehakkei" is known as the most beautiful place to view the most beautiful scenery in the Yabakei area.
The Aono-Domon (The Blue Gate) of Hon-Yabakei is one of the most famous scenic spots in the Yabakei area.
Keisekien is a 20,000 square meter Japanese garden built to commemorate the completion of the Yabakei Dam in 1987.
Ifuku no Kei is a scenic spot with a combination of beautiful valleys with oddly-shaped rocks and a tranquil mountainous landscape.
Tachihata no Kei is a representative view point in the "Urayabakei" area. With its unique rocky peaks and the surrounding mountain surface, the scenery is breathtaking.
Tsurugahara no Kei has a wide pond surrounded by rocky peaks and is known for its beautiful autumnal leaves reflected in the pond.
Arashiyama is a sightseeing spot located to the west of the city of Kyoto, and is one of the three most famous places for viewing autumn leaves in Japan.
The Togetsukyo Bridge, which spans the Katsura River, is a symbol of Arashiyama. To the north of the Togetsukyo Bridge is the departure and arrival point for sightseeing boats.
There is also a promenade along both banks of the Katsura River. On the hillside on the east bank of the Katsura River, there is Kameyama Park.
Climbing up the hillside of the park, there is an observatory with a spectacular view of the trolley train and the Hozu River cruise boats coming and going.

耶馬渓は昔はすごく錦絵の様にきれいでしたが、近年はいまいちに感じていました。 でも、こちらの映像を見ると今年は紅葉の当たり年のようですね！とても鮮やかに見えます。 映像の彩度とコントラストを上げているようにも見えるくらい綺麗ですね！ 2021年は日本全国でどこも例年にないくらい紅葉がキレイになっているみたいですね！！

Thank you for watching. Each of the three is at a different time. Nikko is mid-October to early November. Yabakei is mid-November. Arashiyama is late November. So, if you time your visit right, you can see all three in one year. However, it took three years to shoot Nikko, and another year to shoot Yabakei and Arashiyama, so it took a total of five years to shoot the images in this video.
