I've always loved call of the night, the moment i heard the OP "Daten" only to be followed by the amazing ED "Stayin' up lullaby". i knew that this band was gonna become one of my favorites. The music they added to COTN made the entire experience only more memorable, only later my dumbass self found out they also made losttime. Then of course Bling bang bang born came out and that was a sure hit, I liked Mashle already from season 1 alone yet somehow this band that came out of nowhere has made 2 anime that I would normally think is great but forgettable into shows I'll never forget. Then i found out they were going to do the OP for Dan DA DAN DAN as well and without a doubt i just knew they were going to give this insane wacky manga a top tier OP that it deserved. They of course delivered once again with the song called "otonoke".

I remember when Abroad in Japan posted a video where he pointed out weird things he found in a japanese store, and he mentioned a (probably album) cover with an odd name called "Creepy Nuts" and I went "Wait, I know those guys". I'm telling you all, genuinely, you all should watch a full Creepy Nuts one-man show in Japan (in Blu-ray forme of course). It's energetic, it's just a whole different level of performing songs. And it's just fun and vibes (I'm saying this as someone who actually had watched multiple of their live shows and will be attending their Tokyo Dome concert next year) Also based for 2way nice guy, the song is just built different. (Joendaiyusho is not really an album it's more of a single but whatever). Also for your hot take about numbers doesn't matter for them, that is actually really true. R-Shitei actually mentions this in a the japan times article to them, that they didn't care about charts and numbers at all, hence the name Creepy Nuts. And Matsunaga once said, he always loved to try to be a bit indifferent with his musical choices.
