You should do a video about Yoeko Kurahashi. She started as a independent artist in 2000 and retired in 2008 but grew a strong cult following through the years. She made a return out of nowhere last year and it went viral on Japanese Twitter which was a surprise to Yoeko Kurahashi.

Me only showering only once a week... But I do it to spare my hair and skin. I wash myself daily but soaking yourself in water and soap everyday makes you shrivel up dryer then the Sahara. So not taking showers doesn't have to be depression based.

On the not bathing thing: surprisingly not as rare as one would think. I know of at least one other entertainer in the Japanese idol space that has the same quirk (Sakamata Chloe, one of the Hololive vtubers); & even outside of Japan it's not uncommon for women/young women to have non-daily personal cleanings. There is also an element of biology here... women tend to both sweat less than men & their body odor tends to not be as pronounced. Ditto certain ethnicities. Which in general means that not bathing regularly seems a lot weirder & more off-putting to a white/black dude than it does an asian woman, because the white/black male biochemistry makes not bathing a LOT more noticeable. The objective reality is that regular bathing is largely a modern cultural thing for everyone... we certainly didn't evolve to take daily baths & historically most people in most cultures didn't bathe that regularly.
