This is an awful title I love Yuzuru but I feel happily shocked by this. History has been made and this is an incredibly big step in fs evolution. Everybody must be happy for Ilia regardless our deepest desire to see Yuzuru land his biggest goal in latest times . I still feel nostalgic because of yuzu's recent retirement but it has nothing to do with creating a toxic rivalry between them . It's just about the power of inspiration from athlete to athlete.

Why feel the need to tear another skater to elevate another. Llia made history with the 4a and should be given major props for that but that does not lessen any achievements and contributions yuzuru hanyu made with the sport.

No one can take away what yuzu did for figure skating...the greatest ambassador ever...GOAT in my opinion. A single jump does not make you a legend. Looking forward to more from ilia....let's see if he can inspire and raise the sport as yuzu did.

Ilia is Ilia, Yuzuru is Yuzuru. They are 2 difft individuals, with difft talents and capabilities. Ilia did not beat Yuzuru, because Yuzuru is no longer competing. Yuzu tried but was not successful. It doesnt mean he cannot do it or will not do it. It wasnt his time. Knowing Yuzu’s determination , for making his dreams come true, he will not stop trying till he can do it , not for the satisfaction of the judges, but for the fulfillment of his dream….just wait and see.

As many have said: the title is insulting and disrespectful. Do you know the number of Yuruzu's fans increased a lot after Beijing Olympic? Why? 70% of audience still like to see artistry in figure skating. They don't like programs only have robotic jumps but nothing else. Jumps are just part of figure skating. ISU may change how they give scores but they can't change the taste of the audience. You should able to tell - in the past 4 years, Nathan won almost all titles, but Yuzuru is still the most popular male figure skaters. Although he has retired from competition, people are still looking forward to watch his ice show. Congrats to Ilia still.

From the title, It sounds as if Yuzuru Hanyu is still in competition. Of course not. It's only sensationalism to catch attention. No respect to a legend who has contributed to figure skate for 12 years. It doesn't serve llia Malinin right neither. He is a new FS star, who doesn't need to have Hanyu's name attached to get recognition. Congrat to llia. Hope to see quad king vs quad god in next winter Olympic. (since NC is not officially retired, just taking time off for school). It'll be exciting for US figure skate.

Hello. I just want to say that the thumbnail and title are very insulting and dissrespectful. Of course Ilia made history. But nobody will ever have the impact Yuzuru had on the sport. Nobody will be ahead of him just because of one jump. He cannot be replaced and never will be. Also Ilia lacks so much musicality his movements needs improvement very much. Anyways I'm sad to see what the sport has become. A jumping competition basically

Ilia is shaping up to be a highly skilled technical skater, but his artistry isn’t anywhere near Yuzuru Hanyu’s. If he truly wants to be unbeatable he needs to focus on his quads but also inserting more artistry into his routines. I don’t know if artistry can be learned so much as it comes more so naturally, but if Ilia can, he’ll rise up to be more than just Quad God, he’ll be unstoppable.

Отличия 4А Ильи от 4А Ханю только в том что Илья улучшил все параметры прыжка,высоту,скорость крутки,дугу въезда,стопор,группировку.Поэтому Илья сделал 4А,не из-за каких -то хитростей с преротацией.Преротация у Ильи даже чуть поменьше чем у Ханю.
