Love your vlog, i wanna ask about the taxi tour.. could i order the taxi tour on the spot?

Hello and thank you Shoney! I ordered the taxi tour on the spot! It's definitely better if you order beforehand in case they don't have enough taxi drivers working on the day itself.

discovered this video by chance, thanks for the info on the taxi! in your opinion do u think it is possible to cycle from the tourist information center to the dam? it seems like the road is mostly flat...

Hello huihuilau5770, I do think it's possible to cycle from the tourist information center to the dam, in fact, I think it'll be a lot more fun than hiring the taxi service. There was not much traffic when I was there since Hita is not a touristy area so I would think it's relatively safe to ride a bike there, most of the roads are flat but going up the Oyama Dam might have a little uphill I think.

@@omoroiblake thank you so much for ur reply and confirmation! i'm also from s'pore, going on a solo trip next year. i can't book the taxi yet since i don't want to pay 13,000 yen for it (bike rental only 1000 yen for the entire day) and i definitely prefer to see everything in the museum leisurely rather than pressured by the taxi driver 😅

oh just 1 more question: i saw in the video u shared the taxi with 2 other people. so did u also pay 6,600 yen for ur share? or was it 13,000 yen shared by 3 pax?

@@huihuilau5770 That's nice! I hardly saw any other Singaporeans in Kyushu! 🤣 I think my favorite part about Hita was how the town was located near all these mountains and the nature. Yeap, totally, I feel that having the freedom to travel by yourself feels much better than renting the taxi tbh. I believe I paid 6,600 yen for my share instead of 13,000 yen shared by 3 pax. Also, if you're planning on day tripping there, I would advise you to buy both to-and-fro tickets early on because the train intervals can be quite long and it might be tough to reserve a seat on your return trip.

@@omoroiblake i am already planning to stay at hotel socia (and in the AoT room!) so no problems with the train situation 😆 i will spend 2 days in hita and cover a few AoT sites besides the dam and 2 museums there's also 2 cafes that i want to visit 😇
