Japan Travel - Ofuna Kannon temple and Enoshima Sea Candle

This fantastic day I laced up my running shoes again to go for a run on the beach.
I took the train from Shinagawa Station, the Tokaido Line, to Chigasaki Station. it was about 1 hour train ride and ticket was around 100 yen.
After a short walk south down to the beach I started running, heading over to Enoshima.
Checked out some fishing. Plenty of people out trying to catch something.
The closer I got to Enoshima, the more surfers I saw. A lot of people out. It looked super nice.
Once I arrived in Enoshima I walked out to the iland and the tall Enoshima Sea Candle, 江の島シーキャンドル. The views for the top were amazing, really beautiful. You could also get a faint glimps of the snow covered peak of Mount Fuji in the far.

I then continued my journey to Ofuna and the Ofuna Kannon temple, 曹洞宗 仏海山 大船観音寺. I didn't run all the way there, I took the train back to Ofuna Station and exited the West exit. The temple is a short walk form the station.
Like the Buddha in Kamakura, this is a quite an impressive sight. I can recommend a visit.

Enoshima Island is such a nice place. Chigasaki looks nice, no high rise buildings and relaxed...

I liked Chigasaki and Enoshima. That area has a very layed back vibe. I envisioned living there before.
